Location felt very safe, and there's plenty of food/drink options nearby between pubs, chains, and the market. The hotel service was very friendly and they were reasonably priced for London. Also a reasonable distance from Angel tube station. We had constant issues with room keys, as it's hard to keep them far enough from your phone to avoid the key reset issue that most hotels have seemed to fix, but the staff was very friendly about it.

Room was good (although I just can't get on with feather bedding and it was all feathers). Service was great, staff very nice. Food was okay, nothing special. Meeting room IT worked well and good WiFi throughout.

Disappointing Stay. While the hotel staff were pleasant enough—friendly greetings from cleaners and polite front desk staff—the experience was overshadowed by several major issues. Firstly, the atmosphere was far from relaxing. Our room on the fifth floor was relatively quiet in terms of traffic noise, but constant disturbances in the hallways made it impossible to get a good night’s rest. A particular nuisance came from ill-mannered guests—groups of unruly American kids running around at all hours, pressing all the lift buttons for a laugh, and showing zero respect for others. The room itself was clean and tidy, but not without its flaws. The bathroom was poorly designed—so small that you had to contort yourself just to close the door. The shower was downright hazardous, with no non-slip surface, making it a slip-and-slide adventure every time. The grab bar was little consolation when the real danger came from simply stepping out of the shower. Breakfast wasn’t included, likely a blessing given the extortionate prices. We opted to eat elsewhere. The keycard situation was infuriating. On three separate occasions, the card failed to work, leaving us locked out repeatedly. Despite escalating the issue to the manager, there was no apology or real effort to resolve it. Checking out was equally underwhelming—no acknowledgment of the inconvenience caused or any goodwill gesture. All in all, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. While I’m glad we didn’t pay full price, it still wasn’t worth what we spent. There are far better options for the same or even less money. Save yourself the hassle and book elsewhere.

I stayed in the hotel for a few nights. The staff was helpful and nice. They quickly performed the procedures for the check-in and check-out. The localization is decent, pretty close to the main station. Unfortunately I think that would be all for the advantages. Firstly, the room card might not be programmed well or they lose their capabilities, as during the check-in I had to get back to the reception three times because the card didn't let me in to either the lift or room. One day it also happend I couldn't access my room. Please fix this and implement a better system. They ground floor of the hotel is clean and tidy, however the third floor corridor smells badly, like there were mice. The corridor's carpet might be the culprit though. The room is fair, however the desk is pretty old and have major scratches - seem like it haven't been replaced for a long time. The bathroom should be definitely renovated- tiles are very old and have some damages. Besides that, the rooms could be better isolated from noises- you can hear anyone walking on the corridor. Last but not least, the view from the window - you can see trash bins which is not very pleasant view. This place is decent, but should definitely be renovated. Anyway it doesn't deserve 4 stars as the hotel states. 3 star is accurate in my opinion.

I’m in deep disbelief reading other guest reviews. First they assigned me to a handicapped room with low sink so I asked for a normal room. The second one is just disappointing. Trashed out carpet did not see a vacuum cleaner in a long time. When asked for another room change I was told all the rooms are taken… this is a supposedly 4-star hotel but does not meet 3-stars. Staff, depending who’s on duty was either really nice or super moody. I highly doubt not recommend this hotel to any one. Feels like for $20 a night more you can get a much better place to stay.
