Owlpen Manor, Exclusive Hire

My husband Tim and I had our wedding at Owlpen Manor this weekend. We hired out all the surrounding cottages for the weekend and extended our stay at the Grist Mill until late on the Sunday to allow us to host a post-wedding brunch. We had an absolutely fantastic time at Owlpen from start to finish. From booking an initial visit to view the venue to the actual day, all the Owlpen Manor staff were incredibly dedicated and professional. The co-ordination process felt really straight forward as we simply submitted all our supplier information to a shared document and we didn't feel constantly harassed for information. They were also really responsive to any emails we had regarding small details about the weekend itself and we never felt that we had to press them for a reply. We were lucky enough to be able to arrive at Owlpen early on the Friday so that we could start our venue setup in good time as we had hired in chosen crockery from a different supplier. The cottages were also ready in plenty of time to allow us to set up for a welcome dinner in the evening. The cottages on site were clean and charming. They have some beautiful traditional features and felt like a home away from home. In particular, we loved the old machinery still on display in the Grist Mill, it was a real talking point! On our wedding day itself, Bella did an amazing job of co-ordinating for us. We were at the church in plenty of time and didn't feel rushed at all. Luke in front of house also did a great job of ensuring everyone's drinks were well filled during the reception and the front of house team were great at manning what was a very busy bar! I couldn't recommend Owlpen more to couples that are looking for a wedding venue that feels slightly more traditional and personal than other wedding venues in the area. We truly felt looked after by all the team at Owlpen and will never forget their help in making our day so perfect!

We couldn't be more grateful for the whole team at Owlpen - special shout outs to Bella and Luke. We were fairly left to our own devices in the lead up to the day, but once we were there they couldn't do enough for us. They helped us put on a day exactly as we imagined and pulled out all their stops. Booze was free flowing and food (Well Seasoned Cotswold) was amazing, really a highlight and received a lot of compliments. Such a bargain for the setting and service we received and we were especially grateful to have the venue for 3 whole days, made such a difference. Cannot thank the team enough for a truly memorable day.

Owlpen you are magnificent; be it your location, beautiful buildings, grounds, spectacular fixtures and fittings, ambiance, people, expertise, patience or kindness. Nothing was too much trouble for your team and everyone we interacted with made us all feel welcome, confident, at ease and relaxed. Not only was everyone courteous, polite, helpful, pro-active and efficient they went over and beyond to turn a great event into something truly magical. You really understand weddings and are truly professional and personal and I can see why you are in demand! On a more personal note; special thanks goes to Tonya for supporting our bride and groom from the outset to make the right decisions, consider all options and pull off a beautiful wedding. Your support and understanding for us as anxious parents, was also very gratefully received. We highly recommend.
