Had a great time. The room was lovely. Bathroom massive and very clean. Staff were very friendly, breakfast was lovely and lots of options to choose from. Great location with everything at walking reach. Definitely would stay again.

Location in central city is perfect, especially as multi story car park is literally next door. Building is beautiful and rooms are full of character. The one we stayed in was a luxury double, a nice mix of old and and new architecture and fittings, great shower and comfy bed, could have done with a repaint but otherwise was a large room with everything you need including a fridge and iron. Staff were super friendly and helpful and the food (breakfast) good quality and a wide choice (buffet choice for us), they also do menu options also. Parking a doddle and very central for shops etc Had a spa(not used) and many other facilities. Highly recommended. Thank you

Very good location. The room is a good size. However, the room and all public spaces in the hotel need a thorough cleaning. The carpet in the room hasn't been vacuumed for ages. The breakfast was good, with a nice selection. Unfortunately, it is presented as a hotel and spa, but the spa requires an additional fee. This is misleading and should not be included in the hotel's name. Parking is available for £14 fee, and it is 2 minutes' walk from the hotel

Disappointing is an understatement for a 4 star hotel. Great location interior of the reception, bar was good but the room was shocking! Door would not read any door key cards, so i had to wait for a member of staff to come and open the door for me each time i wanted to enter my room. Several minute wait early hours in the morning outside the room on the landing is a inconvenience, when you just want to get in your room! Dirt under the beds ridiculous amounts not just dust and dried food on the carpet. Water marks on the tops of the walls, empty shampoo conditioner and body wash dispensers in the shower. For £179 a night i would expect much better standards. The room was the worst part of the weekend. Luckily it wasn't a weeks stay. Whoever inspections the rooms must be blind.

Awful hotel and experience… if you’re a Hilton Honors member stay away; as others correctly state you will NOT be rewarded at this hotel for your loyalty. There were clearly rooms available for complimentary upgrades but we were told they weren’t; yet they offered the upgrade if we paid! Further to that the service was horrendous; they hadn’t read notes on the booking prior to our arrival; leaving us stuck without a room for an hour on arrival. There were no shower caps, pens, paper or do not disturb signs in the room. The ‘hotel’ spa is not part of the hotel it’s a separate business. They wanted £25 each to use the pool for an hour! To top it all off we found hair on the bed sheets and three of the ‘clean’ towels covered in makeup and hair. You can sense something isn’t right in the hotel; reading other reviews and just my personal feelings - staff seem demoralised under the current management. We had to involve Hilton Guest Relations to get most of the points back we wasted on this hotel. We would never return here; quite simply the worst Hilton hotel we’ve ever stayed in - and we’ve been Hilton Honors members for nearly 15 years! Do yourself a favour and book elsewhere 😢
