The actual Tate Liverpool is being refurbished. There is however a small very exhibition on bricks which consists of a dozen brick sculptures and paintings followed by a film. Don’t really get the rather downbeats previous reviews of people. The exhibition was really interesting and so was the film, quite lone at 60 minutes but we enjoyed it. Of course it is not going to have the same appeal and range of exhibits the ‘normal’ Tate has but this was to be expected. I can understand staff advising not to touch the exhibits, don’t have a problem with that, it is their job to protect them whilst they are in show! Staff who spoke to us were very friendly and helpful. Do hope to go back after 2025 when the Tate proper has been revamped. Read the website beforehand, at least you will know exactly what you are getting!

Went to the smaller version as it has moved for refurbishment. Really cool exhibits and nice staff just a bit sparse due to the relocation.

It's a pared down set of exhibits while the main museum building is undergoing renovation. I loved both the Tates in London but was quite disappointed. Will have to come back when it reopens.

The actual Tate Liverpool is being refurbished. What is on display is a very limited exhibition on bricks which consists of a dozen brick sculptures and paintings followed by a film. That's it. Despite there being a Lego table for kids and a small shop having items for kids, the exhibition itself isn't at all kid friendly with a rude member of staff pointing out on entering the room that the sculptures shouldn't be touched... a pity really, we were up for a game of jenga after playing with the lego 😃

The original Tate Liverpool in Royal Albert Dock has been closed for a 2-years renovation. It has since moved into RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) with a pared down display of exhibits. Underwhelming honestly. Best to come back in 2025 when Tate reopens.
