‘Hawksmoor Liverpool, located in the iconic and beautiful, Grade II-listed India Buildings, is just an olive’s throw from Castle St, on the corner of Brunswick Street and Fenwick Street. The 165-cover restaurant and 30-cover bar, and 18 cover private dining space, was inspired by the grand optimism of the roaring twenties and celebrates this legacy by highlighting original fittings and sourcing antique finds from the same era, like antique street lamps that once lined the boulevards of 1920s Paris, now reclaimed into glamorous brass-trimmed ceiling lights. The use of reclaimed materials, a Hawksmoor signature, continues throughout the restaurant with brass and mirror inserts on the walls, warm timber floors and brass and wood-topped tables reclaimed from chemistry.’
The restaurant can be used on a semi-private basis, with parties up to 60 taking over the space. From august, we will also have canapé, and bowl food menus in order to drive demand in both our bar area, private dining room and restaurant for a more casual Hawksmoor experience. Hawksmoor Liverpool’s private dining room – The New Yorker Room – seats up to 18 people around one large table, and is situated just off the main entrance. It celebrates links between Liverpool and New York, including one of the building’s architects, Herbert Rowse, amongst other famous Liverpudlians who crossed the pond and made New York their home. The menus in The New Yorker Room are specially designed sharing menus, that showcase a range of classic Hawksmoor dishes as well as our famed dictionary-thick steaks. Everything is served family-style, with steaks cooked to order and served in cast-iron skillets alongside their legendary sides and sauces. For dessert, large sharing puddings complete the feast. All menus can be paired with matched wines selected by our expert wine team. You can even go the extra mile and create a bespoke cocktail for your event. We will happily cater for any vegetarians, vegans and any other dietary requirements that your party may have. Just let us know in advance.
