Malones Leith is an authentic Irish owned pub in the heart of the neighbourhood. Supporting the Leith’s eclectic music scene while being a sports bar specialising in exhilarating live sport events of all kinds. We are mostly wheelchair accessible and host children and dogs until 10pm.
The venue has 3 bookable areas, the Mezzanine, the Raised and the Snug; each available to suit the needs of a variety of event types.

This space offers a different feel to the rest of the pub with two large bifold doors opening into our outside seating area. This space is flooded with natural light while still offering that cosy Irish pub feel. With easy access to the main bar, it offers the perfect space for family and friend catchups. There are 2 steps up to this section making it partially wheelchair accessible.

stoked to have an Irish pub in Leith, especially one that has tank Tennents in all of its fresh unpasteurised glory. Friendly service and the fried snacks we ordered were tasty. Pretty big place but it's been split into sections in a way that keeps the vibe feeling cosy enough.

Omg these guys are the best. Despite me using a free beer ticket the staff came to my outside table to deliver my free beer. Now for me that's beyond the call of duty. Thanks 🙏. And due to the Heverlee offer and bar staff attitude, I'm now going to be frequenting Malone's in Leith on a regular basis. Btw I'm tempted by the look of their food too. Cheers AL

Malones is a loosely themed Irish bar in Leith. It's relatively large and has TV screens dotted about so it's good for sports. It also has live music but not on my visit.  It has some interesting graffiti/murals on the walls leading to the toilets. It has a good selection of beers and the Guinness is supposedly very good. The gastropub food is good and the quantities are generous  - the bowls of side chips are huge! Service is good and friendly.

I spend a lot of time in Edinburgh, but on this layover I decided to join friends for a walk to Leith in search of a quieter pub with ALL the atmosphere. Malone's definitely delivered! Service was excellent. So friendly! There was a variety of televised sports, none of which was of interest to me personally, but others were certainly enjoying them. Food was super! Far better than food in any average pub. More reasonably priced than what we'd get near the Royal Mile where we stay, too. There was an available table large enough to very comfortably accommodate our group. Laid back, cozy.... A great way to spend a couple hours eating, drinking, and chatting. Plenty of craic to be found here!

I come once a week and always have such a blast! The regulars are usually such a great crowd who are always up for a chat, the food that I've tried has been super tasty, and the staff are fantastic!!! Taighe, Fiona, Leonie and Alice are who I see most often and have always been super welcoming and happy to help with anything. Had a few moments as you do in any bar where people can be a bit too drunk or out of hand. The staff are always super on it and I've never felt unsafe. The environment always feels clean and comfy. Plus, free nachos with any Quiz Monday booking is such a fab deal, especially since the quiz is free to join! For only having been in Leith for a year, it feels like it would be empty without it.
