Where this four-star property comes into its own for a Christmas party is its sheer variety of spaces for hire.
The most capacious are the hotel’s events suites, which were refurbished to the tune of £2m late last year. The Shannon Suite is where to book for sizeable standing affairs, or, if you’re catering to a food-first group, consider one of the hotel’s three restaurants. Our favourite is Bugis Street, which delivers an à la carte menu covering Singaporean, Malaysian, and Chinese cuisine for up to 40 seated guests. A handful more can then be added to the party for drinks over at the hotel’s colourful West 8 Cocktail Lounge and Bar, which opened in April 2015.

November 2024Had a great 3 night stay. Steve at the entrance was the most polite, professional and kind man. He was very attentive to our needs as my mum has disabilities. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Interconnecting room was brilliant! Just what we needed.

December 2024I have been coming to this hotel for over 40 years. Both my brother and sister had their wedding receptions here in the 80s and I used to come to the nightclub here! My aunt lives in Kensington so I always stay here when I visit as it is my happy place. I feel safe here and welcome by the excellent staff.The hotel is vibrant yet quiet in the fabulous bedrooms. Highly recommend.

December 2024We had a big group staying at the hotel. We were delighted with the location, staff, rooms, breakfast food, etc. It’s an ideal hotel for a visit to London. Public transport, lots of nice shops and good food are available near by. It felt safe walking at night in the area. We would happily recommend this hotel to friends and family.

December 2024Blessita was incredibly welcoming and professional during check-in, making us feel right at home. Her friendly attitude truly stood out and set a great tone for our stay. However, we did notice that some facilities, like the TV and heating, weren’t working perfectly. It wasn’t a major issue, but improving these would enhance the overall experience. Overall, we appreciated the workers outstanding hospitality!

December 2024The hotel’s location is great—just a short walk from High Street Kensington station. The bed was comfy and the TV worked well. However, the room felt outdated. The bathroom had a small tub with a shower curtain, which didn’t seem very hygienic, and the toilet didn’t flush properly. Overall, a decent stay, but the room could definitely use some upgrades.
