The rooms were lovely, very elegant and old fashioned, great shower, huge tub, very spacious and comfortable, unique furniture. The building was absolutely beautiful too, lovely decor and stained glass windows! I felt like I was staying in a luxury hotel in the 1910s. The food was fantastic too, we had an incredible five course meal and the food and drink at the lounge were also top notch. I would definitely love to stay again.

Our suite on the ground floor was spacious and beautifully appointed. The hidden bathroom below with double shower was splendid and the food was delicious. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming but Niven, our waiter for both our evening meal and morning breakfast, was utterly charming. Thank you Hotel du Vin, Glasgow, for a truly magnificent stay.

Came here for the Sunday roast at 4PM on a Sunday and much to our disappointment, they had ran out…. To be fair they did end up giving us a rib eye, which was a bit too fatty for me with the usual Sunday roast trimmings, but no cauliflower cheese which was sacrilege. I had to ask for more gravy as they only dribbled a tiny amount over the steak and nothing else. They then ran out of one of the desserts we wanted, again this was replaced and we were given an alternative which was very tasty. They also forgot the spoon for the soup and the steak knife for the steak, but apart from that - the service was spot on even although we had about four different waiting staff dealing with us, which was slightly confusing. Ambience wise it was empty… felt a little stuffy - almost like a gentlemen’s club, but nice all the same. Overall food was actually nice, but I felt for a five star establishment these things shouldn’t happen. Honest opinion given, but probably won’t return.
