The venue is only a 10-minute drive from Glasgow City Centre and is right around the corner from Hillhead Subway Station. Situated on the first floor of the Innis & Gunn Taproom with views over the picturesque, cobbled, Ashton Lane. Named after our flagship beer, The Original Bar offers a flexible event space which can be tailored to any occasion. A warm welcoming room with brick walls, modern neon lighting and a variety of seating and original features of our grade A listed building.

The space is perfectly set up for private events and functions boasting it's own bar and toilet facilities. It offers natural light and views onto the Lane and comes equipped with 2 screens and AV system.

This functional space can be set for corporate meetings or seminars, large party dining, drinks receptions and casual get togethers. The space has hosted brand tasting events, showcases and weddings for up to 80 seated guests.

Our open kitchen can cater for a variety of events from pre-meeting breakfasts, 4 course tasting menus with beer or wine pairings to finger buffets. Our dedicated kitchen team are happy to create bespoke menus for your event and to cater to any dietary requirements.

At Christmas The Original Bar offers a cosy spot overlooking the Lane' s twinkling lights which is perfect for group festive celebrations. Offering a delicious 3 course Christmas menu of locally sourced produce and drinks reception packages to create a magical evening for you and your guests.
