Wanted a high floor with a view, was given the attic with tiny window and no view. Room was dated and small and way too hot despite window open all night and radiator off. I could have asked to move, but from 6th floor, with one very slow lift, I couldn't be bothered just for 1 night. Having said that, it was very quiet in the attic. Breakfast was nice enough, and the location is quite close to the station. I'm not sure I'd choose it again though. 😕

Does what it says on the tin. If you’re passing through for a night or two this does the trick. Straightforward, large, central hotel, could do with a renovation. Going by the interior it felt quite dated and uncared for. Tailored more for business conventions / company trips. Room was fine, no socket next to bed which was frustrating. Bathroom very basic. Scaffolding covering the hotel at the time of stay, works started 8:30am. Could hear some noise from city at night. Bed comfy enough although sheets ill-fitted. Staff friendly, early check in wasn’t available but they stored suitcase. If you’re in town on holiday or looking for comfort and quality, I’d suggest going elsewhere.

The hotel is great but when I lodged there renovation work was ongoing so I did not have a good rest during the afternoons because my sleep was constantly disturbed. The breakfast was okay but I was asked to pay extra £2 for pancakes which was the only breakfast my lil daughter wanted after paying £27 for breakfast for 2 and all my daughter ate was pancakes and a glass of orange juice. The next day I got a lovely breakfast from McDonald's. The lady at the restaurant was not friendly at all. The young dark lady or young girl was very welcoming and wore a warm smile. The gentle man at the reception called Steven and the lady called Stephanie are great. Thank you.

Worst value for money hotel I’ve ever stayed in on business! For the price paid for 2 nights, the hotel is awful. Room was tiny only fitting a small double bed and desk, hotel and room is freezing with heating only coming on a few hours a day. Shower worked the first day but hot & cold and then second day wouldn’t turn on at all. Very dated and old. People moving around in room above make creaky floor sounds like they are in the room and kept waking me up. Premier inn would’ve been much better. Also construction going on that starts making noise at about 6am!
