I am going to try and not gush too much, but it is very difficult, as this is a fantastic hotel and spa, and apart from the location being amazing, the food is great, but it is the staff that make it even more special. Raff in the Brassiere was very professional, friendly and very smiley, along with all the staff around him. All the staff in the hotel and spa, were professionally friendly, but more than that, they all seemed happy in their roles, and that happiness is very contagious. The reception staff, especially the gentlemen that helped us with our luggage, made it so special for us. The housekeeping staff also do an amazing job keeping the hotel spotless, and again all very friendly and smiley. I would highly recommend this hotel for any special treat. The lounges, and restaurants are beautiful and quirky. Lots of individual seating areas both inside and outside. The walks straight from the hotel are beautiful. The spa and treatments were also fab, they restrict the amount of people using it at anyone time so it makes it special when you are using it. They welcome well behaved dogs, and treat your four legged family as VIP guests :-) . But if you are not a dog fan, this does not encroach on the experience as there are lots of space for everyone. We were celebrating our 30th Wedding Anniversary and the hotel, and in particular the staff, made it a lovely fond memory for us, thank you to all the staff.

I really love this hotel. A warm welcome on arrival I'd booked a double deluxe room. Which had beautiful views over the garden & surrounding hills. The rooms are crisp & spotlessly clean & very comfortable. We had a really good night sleep.bed and linens are really comfortable. The Spa and the pool are fabulous. Soaked in the steam room & sauna for a few hours before lunch in the spa bar/ dining room attached. Staff are really amazing there. We enjoyed drinks in the cocktail bar later in the afternoon after a lovely tour around the surrounding areas of beautiful Bolton Abbey. It truly was outstanding!

Staff Are an absolute credit. Always polite and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Fantastic with our dogs. Dining for breakfast and dinner was superb. The walks the spa and massage also great. Bolton abbey a nice stroll along the riverside or a few minutes in the car. Am looking forward to returning.

Attended for a spa day. The Tepee tents were wonderful, warm, and cosy with everything needed: hair dryer & straighteners, very comfy onsies, dressing gowns all in the tepees. All topped off with lovely views of the Beautiful Yorkshire Dales. The spa treatments were fantastic. Samantha gave me an amazing back massage and even managed to get rid of my knots. Thank you, Samantha. Attended as a party of 4, We had 2 massages and 2 facials all people said jow wonderful the Treatments were. The spa facilities are quite small, and because of this, the chlorine was quite stingy on the eyes again. All 4 people stated this fact. The Sauna was great. The Steam room was not overly steamy when we went in. We enjoyed the tropical shower, though. The afternoon tea was delightful, the sandwiches were great, and the dessert ones were delicious. Most importantly, every member of staff we came across was friendly, helpful, and welcoming.

My husband and I stayed for two days in June on a Dinner bed and breakfast deal dinner being on the first night only. The hotel is set in beautiful surroundings and is very peaceful, the bottle of wine in the room was a lovely touch. My only criticism of the time we stayed would be that at dinner we were not in the restaurant but in the brasserie The food was very good as was the service, but as we were travelling as a couple without a dog we found the dining experience disappointing as we were eating our meal with other diners that had dogs and small children which spoilt what was meant to be a romantic meal. We did try to book into the restaurant on our second day a Sunday but were told it was closed, we both found this very strange as it was fathers day. It spoilt the experience for us. The management may want to rethink their policy on couples without dogs being able to eat in the restaurant as not being able to enjoy the atmosphere put a dampaner on the meal and what would have otherwise been a lovely romantic stay.
