With the perfect combination of tradition and modern style, The Great Victoria is a wonderful wedding venue. Located in the heart of Bradford, the venue benefits from an excellent location amidst the buzz of the vibrant city centre.
The Great Victoria boasts two superb function rooms for wedding celebrations. One space offers all the elegance of a traditional Victorian suite; its high ceilings, oak panelling, exquisite chandeliers and draped curtains all add to the grandeur and majesty of the space. If you choose to opt for a more contemporary feel for your event, the second room is bright and modern.
Both spaces are ideally suited for extravagant, traditional weddings, offering the style and flair you would expect from a top venue. We understand that every couple has their own plans and requirements for their special day, and we strive to provide a day that reflects you and your unique ideas. Whether you’re planning an intimate event or a grand celebration, we will create a magical day just for you.
You can choose the Great Victoria for your whole day or just for your reception in our banqueting suite. Whatever you choose, you can rest assured that you will enjoy service of the highest standard from the venue’s dedicated staff.
Within the hotel we have 70 beautifully finished rooms, offering a delightful night’s stay for your overnight guests. The most spectacular suite we offer is the stunning penthouse bridal suite. The room has two side-by-side baths and an impressive seven-foot bed for your first night of married life.
We are now in the process of landscaping the grounds so we can offer bride & grooms some memories outside as well as our beautiful hotel inside.

Beautiful period hotel, perfectly located for both town & train station. The staff could not have done more for us & the room was roomy with a fabulous bathroom. Breakfast was good. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed on 11.8.24. We had a family emergency while staying here and the staff could not have been more caring and compassionate. Thank you especially to the night reception for making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed . You made a stressful situation much much easier for us. You are a credit to the hotel. It was a hot evening too and the hotel had a good supply of fans which kept the room temperature comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and staff again could not do enough for us. Had some delicious poached eggs made to order, thank you chef. Everything was kept immaculate, topped up and a great selection of continental and cooked breakfast. We would definitely stay here if we are ever in Bradford again. The staff really did go above and beyond and did it with a smile too. Thank you

Lovely old building with lots of character. Check-in was quick, friendly, and was given an upgrade. The hotel is in the city centre so very close to everything. Our room was a suite. It's a bit dated but clean. Decor was a bit sparse and uninspiring. The bed was very soft (not what I'm used to), so it's not comfortable for me, but others might prefer a soft bed. Breakfast was good. There were not a lot of choices re cold options, but the cooked selection was good. The food was hot, good quality and a good selection.

The good stuff: great location, cheap car parking (£5 per 24 hours), lovely big corridors and big rooms (you can tell it used to be a railway hotel), staff were friendly and helpful. The bad stuff: rooms are tired - lots of little things that should have been spotted and sorted (our bathroom tap was loose, the bath was very slow at draining, theadbare carpet etc), the windows don't open and there is no air conditioning, so we had a tiny desk fan to cool the room (and the windows not opening made it stuffy), the bed was very soft, not particularly comfortable and small - it was not king size or super king (as you'd expect these days). The ugly stuff: £50 deposit in advance against damages... never seen that before in any hotel that I've stayed in. To be fair, I wasn't asked for it but I don't know if that was a mistake or not, but the sign was there.
