The staff are always amazing here. I have to stay regularly with work and choose here over some more up market places due to the service. The food is also really good for the cost. The hotel itself is aged... it gets away with it to an extent because it's impressive traditional rooms that are stunning but equally there is no shortage of squeaky floorboards and and tired but cared for furniture..... and a side note they seem to be competing for the smallest carparking spaces available. A few times I've turned up and every 4th space or so has been empty as anyone with slightly larger than average size cars overlap the lines.

What an amazing hotel, we turned up late due to an event we had that evening, this hotel was in the middle of another event we had the next morning so after doing some research of hotels near the motorway this had the best reviews. It did not disappoint, the staff were incredibly friendly even at 12 midnight, they were incredibly accommodating considering we had a couple of rather odd requests. We had to leave early the next morning and didn’t have time for breakfast so they made us sausage sandwiches to go. The room was spacious and the bathroom was amazing. There is nothing we could fault this hotel for, we would love to stay here again, but next time not be in such a rush.

Came here for a birthday party meal with family. Paid for a private dining room (with service) for 30 or so people. No drink service, preordered food orders via email taken incorrectly, served cold and before we had all had chance to even sit down. After the food was sent back, the food we tasted and found out was cold was all put together warmed in a microwave and reserved on children’s plates. Reviews left on social media have all been deleted and we have been blocked. After spending over £600 you would expect better. Terrible service, beautiful location and hotel. One ruined birthday. Will never return and hopefully we are able to assist other people to not have their special days ruined by this disaster

I wouldn't even give this place a 1 star, My brother and his family was visiting the UK from Cayman Island and we booked a private room for a family celebration. 5 times I had to send my meals back, nor one of the people in our party that had Sunday lunch ate their meal. It wad fold it was stale. That's not the worst part on one occasion myself, and 3 other guest sent their meals back for been stone cold and they came back on kids plates when questioned why this was we was told because a couple of people had touched their food so they had divided what was left and given to us all. On another occasion you wouldn't have been able to cut my potato with a cricket bat. My daughters pizza came out black literally black apart from how bad all the meals were my Mum had paid £150 for the room to get nothing but bad service and meals. It's against food and hygiene standards what they did with our meals. Do not waste your money the management do not care. If we comment on their Facebook page they just block you. If we email they just ignore all emails.
