Set in the pretty village of Newmillerdam, Yorkshire and within easy reach of the M1 and Wakefield Town Centre, Best Western Hotel St. Pierre is ideally located for your guests. Our reputation and will give you the confidence to trust us with your wedding plans. Our knowledgeable wedding coordinator will look after every detail so you don’t need to worry!
Our Duty Manager will take on the role of Master of Ceremonies for your day and we will arrange evening entertainment with our resident DJ.
We offer a range of spaces for your wedding. The Monet Suite is a large, bright space that holds 100 guests in the day or 200 for an evening reception. The adjacent Lounge Bar can be used for additional space. The Cezanne Suite can accommodate 60 guests in the day and 80 in the evening and comes with a private terrace area. For a smaller, more intimate reception the Matisse or Renoir rooms accommodate 24 guests.

September 2024All staff are welcoming and always happy to help. Rooms are really nice and modern and very clean! Breakfast was brilliant just what you would expect for a B&B option. All round a great stay and would definitely stay again. Little Tracey and Tracy on reception were exceptional!

November 2024The rooms are smart, clean and have everything you need. Everything looked new. TV on wall, decent amount of plug sockets (in sensible places), some with USB. The WiFi was good and a small desk ideal for doing some work. Found the bed to be comfortable. I arrived at night and found the staff to be really friendly, polite and efficient. There were still plenty of parking spaces available, and you just log your car in at reception. Breakfast was good (I had full English, and there other things you can help yourself to). Would stay again.

September 2024Hotel is undergoing extensive refurbishment so not all facilities accessible. Our room had obviously been refreshed but just needed a few finishing touches. Room was clean, bed comfortable, nice soft towels and good hand soap/shower gel. Breakfast had a good choice, hot food cooked to order. Staff very pleasant, (Tracey) friendly and helpful, good budget hotel would consider staying again as good location for visiting historic houses etc

October 2024Had a lovely stay with my partner last week. Staff couldn't do enough for us. The hotel was in a lovely rural location but a close drive to local amenities. It was quiet during our stay, which was fine with us. Breakfast was very nice, however, portions could be larger. Overall, a nice stay, could hear owls at night which was a nice touch. Dog enjoyed. Will be back again. Many thanks!

October 2024Avoid. Avoid I was in this hotel with my wife for one night on Saturday night on October 5, 2024. The hotel reception staff were a young girl and an older woman. Around 11 o'clock when I was resting with my wife. 4 policemen came to our room and said that the hotel staff has reported that my wife is underage while we have two children. My wife panicked in the middle of the night and they took away our rest.I have never had such an experience before and I was shocked. We are saddened by this disrespect and rude behavior of hotel staff and we hope that the hotel manager will be held accountable. I regret staying at this hotel🤮
