January 2025Booked for my parents as a gift. Location great for shopping centre, race course and city centre. Hotel was of a very high standard. Simon and his staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Would reccomend to anyone visiting York.

March 2025I cannot fault this hotel - the staff are all very friendly & welcoming. We were upgraded on our original room booking to a very nice room with a balcony. A very relaxed environment. We would definitely stay again.

December 2024Stayed at the Pavilion Hotel recently as part of a group work booking. Firstly, the hotel has a great location; my room was also clean, warm and comfy although the bathroom was pretty tired and in need of renovation. We ate our evening meals at the hotel and have to say we were all (10 of us) really disappointed with the overall quality of the food and service. Service was generally pretty slow sometimes taking 2.5 hours to serve. Several of the dishes were also quite bland, whilst others had a really odd metallic aftertaste. One evening one of our group was served a cheesecake that was inedible - also returned by several fellow diners over the evening - not good….
