January 2025I highly recommended this hotel. The staff were super friendly and the food for breakfast, lunch and dinner was plentiful and delicious. We stayed for 2 nights during a dance weekend event. The rooms were very clean and had all the facilities we needed. The hotel feels luxurious and also has a very homely feel. Four stars for the service as at times we felt that ordering at the bar could have been more efficient, however due to the nature of our stay attending dance classes at fixed times, we were in more of a rush than usual. The service when served was top quality with excellent attention to detail and great customer service.

January 2025I highly recommend this wonderful hotel. From the moment we stepped through the door we were made to feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. We were upgraded to the Privilege suite which was fabulous. The staff were attentive, the room clean and well equipped. Lovely breakfast and the Health club, only a 5 minute drive away was great, again with welcoming staff and great facilities. The location was perfect ... Within walking distance to York if u don't mind a 3 mile walk. All in all a fantastic place to stay ... We'll definitely be returning!! 😊

March 2025The staff were very polite & helpful,. Rooms were clean & tidy but just needed a bit of TLC with update & paint. Breakfast & evening meals were very good. 1st floor corridor floorboards very noisy when walked across. Venue location for bus ride into/out of city is excellent.

March 2025My wife and I had a really good stay recently and after some minor problems with our room, with the maintenance man being so polite and efficient, we enjoyed superb service in most cases, great food; dinner and breakfast must not be missed, it was excellent. Hotel itself is very clean with great decor, it was very comfortable. We do quite a few hotels in the UK, this rates as one of the better ones.

March 2025The staff here are amazing.....so friendly and helpful, very efficient. Nothing too much trouble. We have a superior suite. Bedroom is very big and bed is probably super king. Bed is comfortable. Room is too hot for me and can't seem to turn the radiator down or off. The bath is a Jacuzzi bath and also has overhead shower. The shower is lovely, invigorating. All toiletries supplied and smell lovely! Hairdryer supplied. The food here is fantastic. Breakfast and evening meal. Nice grounds to walk the dog. Would definitely stay again.
