December 2024Really enjoyed our stay! Room was nice and clean, the staff were lovely and accommodating and the location right infront of the castle is great. Lots of shops nearby and a nice walk down the river.

October 2024Great hotel brand , excellent location with a castle right on the doorstep. Rooms spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast offered a great selection and did not disappoint on quality. Bar team were great.

November 2024The staff were very friendly and helpful when I couldn’t figure out the heating system, I was lucky and had a room overlooking the castle, the breakfast was great all cooked well and great selection. However I found the rooms to be dated and rather basic for the price, small things like the plugs didn’t drain well and the lack of plug sockets next to the bed. Also not sure if it was just my room but a lot of the switches didn’t seem to do anything

October 2024A complete no-no and a massive design flaw in this hotel is there's no plug sockets either side of the bed. Basic stuff, but it was missing here. Bathroom so tiny you almost had to back into it. The drain in the bath was broken and maintenance had to be called to remove the plug so the water could drain out. Housekeeping hadn't noticed that the hand cream dispenser was empty. A simple redesign of the room would give much more space. On the positive side, the location is good, and we didn't notice any noise. Not sure I'd ever return here though. Seemed second rate and not up to the standard that its name would imply. Staff very efficient and pleasant.

December 2024Unfortunately had a poor experience here, had no sleep at all due to the radiator being broke in the room so was at a high heat the entire night which was really uncomfortable. Also very noisy outside until early hours but had to sleep with window open as it was just too hot. Spoke to manager this morning only to receive a sorry. Just felt disappointed overall, considering the price of the rooms I expect a half decent sleep. Wouldn't stay again
