You might call us a country hotel; you might call us a village-style retreat set within a 400 acre private estate; you might even call us the gateway to a world of outdoor adventure. Whichever; we call it The Fish – and we think you’re going to like it.
This is a new kind of country hotel. We’re affordable but not budget, stylish but not pretentious, and outdoorsy but just as happy to stay in and put our feet up by the fire. The Fish is your back-to-nature bolt-hole with a little touch of luxury.
A large meeting room on the second floor of Springfield House for up to 100 delegates (theatre style). Springfield House is at the top end of the Fish and the coffee lounge in this dedicated building has stunning views over the Vale of Evesham. The Hayloft room has natural daylight and a lovely high ceiling, which lends itself in particular to presentations as it is so light and airy.

February 2025Loved the fish! Everything from the service, to the room amenities, the location and the food at both the Hook and the bar everything was amazing. Had an incredible time clay pigeon shooting with a great and experienced instructor. What a lovely place to spend a weekend away, will definitely be coming back!

February 2025All in all, a relaxing stay. Lunch menu was very limited - not sure who thought “hot dogs and snacks” would appeal to all, but evening menu really good. The bbq monkfish as special was top! Fires were always lit, even if arriving at 7:30am for breakfast. 10/10 for that. Found the room so hot - tried to fix the heating but didn’t quite work. Comfortable otherwise, but a little annoying to not control heating better. Didn’t find the hotel grounds that inspiring as a whole - i think probably it would be better in spring / summer. Broadway was a nice place to visit close by.

November 2024We stayed for 2 nights back in October and whilst it was really good, it wasn't quite perfect. Given the price tag, we did expect it to be perfect. Having then fed those issues back to the team, they just said sorry which was a little surprising and disappointing. The 2 main issues were with our room - the heating and the bath tub. When we arrived, the heating was on so high that it must have been 30deg in there. Despite us playing with every thermostat setting, and having every window and door open, it wouldn't change. We ended up turning the heating off, then changing the setting inside the boiler cupboard. It looks as if someone had left it on the wrong setting (always on). Our first few hours were therefore quite unpleasant and left us feeling a bit unwell. On our final morning, we went to use the bath but couldn't get the plug to work. We phoned reception for help but there was no answer. It was clear the bath hadn't been used in a while (so had probably been broken a while) as there was a good smattering of dust when I wiped it out before we went to fill it. When we checked out later that day, we passed on both issues to a member of staff who just thanked us for sharing that. We had 1 evening meal in MO at Dormy House which was fantastic. We had 2 breakfasts, 1 evening meal in Hook, and a lunchtime meal in The Bar, all at The Fish. The food was perfectly nice at The Fish's restaurants, but again, not quite meeting the price for us. The vegetarian options were underwhelming (vegan hot dog, veggie breakfasts, veggie dinner options). Overall, good but a little overpriced compared to the quality we experienced. We would return for the Shepherd's hut which was *****INCREDIBLE***** but eat elsewhere.
