Nestled in the heart of the picturesque Surrey village of Ripley, The Talbot stands as one of the country’s most storied and historic coaching inns. Boasting many period features from throughout its 500-year history, as well as the benefits of an extensive contemporary refurbishment, our 43 bedrooms stand alongside extensive meeting and conferencing facilities, in addition to summer gardens and a large terrace.

Conveniently located just 30 minutes from Central London, The Talbot was once a frequent hitching post for Lord Nelson, and is even said to be the site on which his love affair with Lady Hamilton blossomed. Nowadays we are known as one of the foremost inns in the region, retaining our position as a welcoming site for weary travellers, with a cozy bar and outstanding restaurant.

Popped in for a quick stop. Didn't know what to expect as never been before. Very elegant place but they really made us feel welcome. Good coffee to.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights bed breakfast and evening meal. Food was always served hot and was delicious. Staff were friendly polite and helpful. Shower was amazing as was the bed and pillows. Only negative was that some areas could be cleaner, doors were grimy and certain areas could do with a polish. Overall our stay was amazing and we both look forward to visiting this hotel again. There are some lovely walks we visited a lovely pub on one of our walks called the badger and enjoyed a pint by the canal.

The Talbot Inn in Ripley, Woking – A Perfect Wedding Venue! We recently had the pleasure of photographing Sharon and Del's wedding at The Talbot Inn, and we couldn't be happier with the experience! The venue itself is stunning, combining classic charm with modern elegance, which gave us so many beautiful spots to capture precious moments. Special thanks to Krystyna, the manager, who was incredibly helpful from start to finish. Her professionalism and warm approach made the planning process smoother than ever. She attended to every detail and coordinated everything effortlessly, allowing us to focus on our work while knowing everything else was in good hands. Her support made a noticeable difference, and we can't recommend her enough for anyone looking to plan a wedding or event here. If you're looking for a venue with charm, character, and exceptional service, The Talbot Inn is a fantastic choice!

Stayed here for 3 nights & had a lovely time. The room was comfy & we weren’t disturbed by the wedding parties. Breakfast was nice, although the staff on our second morning were rude & grumpy. However, the waitress who looked after us for our evening meal was lovely!

We was there for a wedding and found the drinks so expensive compared to other venues. Positive the room we stayed in that was in the main building was lovely and had everything you need for your stay and the bed was really comfortable, best night sleep for a long time. Negative - bearing in mind a lot of people from the wedding party stayed overnight most were charged an extra £10 for parking, I'm sorry but this is a total rip off and most people went away disappointed. We had an email from when we booked saying parking will be complementary so we didn't pay even though they still tried charging us and argued the fact.

Not bad. Toilet was difficult clearing. Room and hallway looked shabby and smelled musty. Breakfast was lukewarm . Charging 10 pound a night parking is a bit much considering cost of room. Breakfast staff good. Reception staff could be a bit. More cheerful. Apart from that not a bad stay and location and village good.
