We had our small , intimate winter wedding here in December 2024. It was perfect. Staff were amazing and the food was absolutely fantastic. Catered for vegetarian and gluten free without any problems whatsoever. Thanks guys for helping us do it our way, you were all brilliant! Jo and Simon xx

The Moonraker Hotel: A Charming Stay The Moonraker Hotel is an absolute gem. From the moment you arrive, the picturesque setting and beautiful historic charm set the tone for a relaxing stay. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-presented, with a perfect balance of rustic character and modern comfort. The exposed beams and traditional décor add to the charm, while the bathroom and shower facilities are well-maintained and functional. The staff were welcoming and attentive, ensuring a pleasant experience throughout. The grounds are lovely, offering a peaceful retreat, and the cozy lounge area makes for a great place to unwind. If you’re looking for a stylish and comfortable countryside escape, The Moonraker Hotel is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended! Rating: ★★★★★

We couldn't have chosen a better venue for our wedding than the Moonraker Hotel. We initially stayed at this beautiful stone manor house back in 2016 for a one-night stay and were immediately enchanted by its charming rural setting. When we decided to get married, it was an easy decision to book the Moonraker for our wedding. The communication throughout the planning process was excellent, and the wedding taster was a fantastic opportunity for us to try the food that would be served at our wedding breakfast. On the big day, everything went brilliantly. The staff worked tirelessly to make our day special and did not let us down. The team was absolutely fantastic, making us feel truly valued. The exclusive use of the hotel grounds for us and our guests made the day incredibly private and special. Each room had so much character and uniqueness. We are beyond pleased that we chose the Moonraker Hotel for our wedding and are incredibly grateful to the Moonraker team for making us and our guests feel so special. We couldn't fault a single thing. Highly recommend! James and your team, thank you. Mark & Emma

Very disappointing. I hesitate to call this a hotel, as there was almost no service, apart from the young man, who was on reception upon our arrival on the Sunday evening, who couldn't have been more helpful. The following two mornings, the staff on reception weren't interested at all and didn't look up from their phones or stop chatting between themselves, when we came in for breakfast, during breakfast or when we left the dining area. The reception desk is within the dining area, so that's quite some feat! We booked evening meals for both nights, as we didn't want the trouble of going out in the evenings, having had full daytimes, being out and about. We were then informed on the first night as we sat down to eat, that they had no chef and there would only be a limited menu for our two night stay, comprising of a pre-made pie, fish and chips or a burger, not the gastro hotel experience we were expecting! There was none of the promised explanation the following day from any manager and certainly no apology or even any acknowledgement. Needless to say, we didn't eat at the hotel on the second night as the food was completely underwhelming anyway. The hotel itself comprises of some lovely Georgian buildings and really could be quite special but it feels like a tired, chain hotel, where no one really cares. It's such a shame as were celebrating a significant birthday and this place added nothing to it.
