Taken straight from a fairytale, the grand 19th Century Victorian house and the surrounding 500 acres of stunning grounds, provide a truly enchanting setting for your special day.
Located just 10 miles from historic Bath, the venue is perfect all year round. The gorgeous gardens are look stunning in the summer sunshine, and the open fires provide a cosy atmosphere in the winter months.
Orchardleigh House is fully licensed to hold civil ceremonies for up to 144 guests. If you’re planning a more traditional service, there are two beautiful churches within the estate. Neither church requires you to be from the local parish to use the facility, so it is open to all. St. Mary’s Church is ideally located on its own private island. As there is no electricity supplied to the church's remote location, all wedding ceremonies are conducted purely by candlelight for a magical, romantic setting.
St. Mary’s also boasts its own helipad so you can arrive in dramatic style! From the Bell Longranger Helicopter to a 1926 Rolls Royce, Orchardleigh offers a variety of wedding transportation for you to hire.
For overnight guests, the Estate can accommodate up to 172 guests. There are 44 luxurious rooms in the main house and a variety of Lodges and Cottages on site. You can also hire the cottages for the night before the big day so there are no worries about getting to the church on time.

We will be forever grateful to Annamarie our coordinator, Chris and everyone at Orchardleigh for ensuring that our wedding was everything we dreamed of, and more. From the initial itinerary meetings, to answering questions throughout the planning process and then on our big day, nothing was too much to ask, and the team really ensured that the whole day was smooth running and exactly as we wanted it to be. The drive up to Orchardleigh, the house and the gardens are like nothing you’ve ever seen before. Our guests even mentioned on the day just how spectacular it was ‘It’s like Bridgerton!’ The 3 day package was absolutely incredible and really helped us to make the most of celebrating our wedding with our family and friends. Orchardleigh’s team go above and beyond and there really is no more beautiful setting to get married than here. There was no stress in the planning process and everything went perfectly to plan on the day, and that’s all thanks to the wonderful people behind the scenes. Thank you, our wedding day was truely the most incredible day of our lives.

June 2024Orchardleigh house is one of those places that just makes you say "wow" as you approach it! If you are looking for a grand wedding venue (with free roaming peacocks), where you'll feel like a princess for the day, this could be it! As one of their recommended suppliers of wedding photography and videography, we are lucky enough to spend lots of time at the vast Orchardleigh estate and discover something new every time. There's indoor and outdoor ceremony options and you can even arrive by helicopter and really make an entrance. It's a venue we love to work at and would highly recommend. Jodie & Tracey xx
