This was a lovely hotel. The room was nice and big, very clean with good facilities. I ate dinner here too which was delicious. The soup (lentils and ham hock) was the nicest soup I have ever had. The breakfast was delicious too. I thoroughly recommend!!!!

We had our wedding here in Nov 24. The entire team were faultless and made sure every little detail was nailed which made it a smooth running day. The venue is gorgeous with beautiful grounds for lots of photo opportunities and a spacious breakout room for turnovers in the main room. Accessible too, with accessible rooms which was important for us. Guests thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Staff were incredible and the setting was perfect.

Fabulous stay, very polite girl in reception on visit, think her name was Chloe very kind a respectful lady, Breakfast was kinda small but was delicious! Had a couple of drinks in the bar was quiet and felt warm and comfortable. Sleep was great no issues within that room was perfect for heat, the only down fall I can say is they was no blind in the bathroom so you couldn’t have a shower without everyone in the car park seeing, but except to that I will be staying the next couple of coming weeks for a couple of days hope to see that blind fitted 😃 All the best!

Very disappointed with our experience. We went for afternoon tea and decided not to go into Edinburgh as we usually do and go local for my friends . The bar and the restaurant were freezing and we were all so disappointed. We were charged £15 service on the bill which was a bit cheeky but hopefully the staff get that and not the Management as they are obviously not spending it on the hotel . It desperately needs some upgrading, some paint and heating would work wonders on an old tired building like that.
