July 2024A lovely young lady named Breanna had such beautiful service whilst I was dining at the Hotel for Lunch. She had given recommendations, meal prep was clean and presentable and she always checked to see if we were okay. Cleaned tables between different meals, ask if we wanted more drinks and made the experience very comfortable. She was very polite and respectful when serving whilst helping other staff members. She definitely needs a promotion of some sort：）.

August 2024The hotel itself is situated in a great location, close to all the shops, pubs and restaurants in Guildford. Very clean, and the bar staff were great. Breakfast was lovely (we didn’t eat dinner at the restaurant although, we heard good things). Check in was a bit slow however, we had a complimentary room upgrade which we really appreciated. The hotel let themselves down on the spa side. We tried to book treatments via the website however, the booking system was down. By the time they called back, they only had 1 treatment slot available at 5pm which wasn’t any good as there were 2 of us. We waited for a call back to find out their availability the next morning prior to check out as that hadn’t been released yet, but we must’ve been one of the last calls as they only had one 10am slot available for the whole day, which was disappointing as I thought being a hotel guest we may have been one of the first calls. The spa itself was also fully booked so we never got to experience that either. Overall, hotel lovely, however, we didn’t get to enjoy the spa!

December 2024Business traveller, I spend about 200 nights a year in various hotels across the UK. Always try to stay here when in Surrey, as Guildford has lots of good restaurants and bars, and the hotel is comfortable and convenient. Has a decent fitness room and separate weights gym reached by a lift in the corner. Underground car park used to be good, but now seems to be a storage area for expensive Porsches and range rovers etc, all parked straddling bays which massively limits space for guests. Also the barrier almost never works,so everyone has to drive in via the exit ramp 😖 On rare occasions it can be noisy, especially around the Xmas holidays but not usually late into the night

November 2024We celebrated last night of my husband best friend's wedding in this hotel. We were one of the Entourage as Best man my husband and me as Maid of honor. We were just calling with the staff to go to the ceremony without asking if we were one of the Entourage. So we end up inside the ceremony and not included in the walking of the aisle with the Entourage. It was the special moment we missed, especially we were one of the important guest of that wedding. The staff were unorganized and not knowledgeable. After the ceremony, all the guest and the newlyweds seems like neglected. No one served us nor just water. Felt pity for the newlyweds that they were the one served us. This is unacceptable. Please do your customer service properly. You get paid and give the best service that your customers deserved. This event happened last night 9th of November 2024.

November 2024My best friend was getting married there and I am the best man. We arrived at the hotel, which looked nice at first, but things got messy when the ceremony started and later during the celebration. The organizer of the event sent us all to the room for the ceremony thinking we were all guests, even the groom and we ended up not walking in with the couple as best man and maid of honor as it was supposed to be. The service was awful as the waitress kept on coming trying to collect everything from the tables without even asking. I found myself without a glass to drink 5 times and I had to go to the bar to request a new one. My fork was taken away when I stood up for a dance and there was not anymore for me to finish my food. The buffet was supposed to be refilled but did not and my best friend paid a lot for that to do, but nothing like it happened. They asked for wine for all tables and soft drinks as planned and the staff told them, that there was no alcohol and that if anyone wanted they had to buy themselves from the bar outside. Some of the guests even bought from the bar, even if my friends paid for that to be provided, and the waitress tried to get the bottles before they got empty. There were no plates and spoons provided for the wedding cake, we had to ask for them, and when we did they just brought the plates and left them on the side of the cake and were gone. The room was booked till 1:00 morning and at 22:25 we had a staff coming to say that there were guests at the bar and music needed to be lowered. How come you arrange to get people's money for a wedding when they booked it in your hotel and you come that time to complain about music while they celebrate their wedding day? All the guests were annoyed by the bad service and all that happened that day. I am sorry to say but you need to organize things much better and if you cannot provide what people pay you for, then do not promise or make events there.
