Easily the most magical stay we’ve ever had. Can’t even describe how beautiful this gem is, everything was beyond our expectations. From the friendliness of the staff (special shoutout to Harris, always smiling & so welcoming), to the room upgrade, to leaving a dessert in the room to celebrate the birthday. The service was amazing, the views are immaculate. Seriously considering getting married here, can’t imagine how lovely the pictures would be. Thank you for the amazing stay we had and we will definitely be back, so happy I randomly found this hotel, can’t recommend this place enough.

Lovely place. Stopped for a light lunch and a poke around. They let you explore all over the Tudor building. Fabulous ceilings and staircase. Guy at the bar showed us where to sit on the terrace. Service was attentive but waiter didn't seem to be able to read his own writing. Had to confirm several times what we wanted and then brought the wrong thing anyway. Food was good but the bread was not 'fresh' as stated. Not the cheapest. Lovely gardens.

We booked the afternoon tea at Great fosters. The grounds and house are beautiful, a moat and Bridge with topiary trees and well manicured lawns this location is pretty, quiet and scenic. The hotel has kept original features alongside some modern furnishings. The staff who served our afternoon tea were an absolute pleasure, on of them being Avayla (I hopefully correct spelling, probably not) both ladies were a pleasure and made the experience outstanding in customer service. I have only given 4 starts for service as the reception staff were not particularly friendly, not a 10, however did not ruin the experience. A great selection of teas, great coffee, finger sandwiches, desserts, excellent scones, cream and jam teamed with great location and customer service this is an excellent afternoon tea.

A gorgeous historic hotel but a disappointing ending to a wonderful two week holiday. Children are not allowed in the pool between the hours of 10 and 4, I was not aware when booking. We were given a room in the annex building that was incredibly basic with no AC, we paid to upgrade for another room equally as bland, if I had seen these rooms online, I never would’ve booked, pricing for the annex rooms should be different from the main building. The restaurant was expensive and very average. Breakfast buffet did not have a great selection, and no fresh fruit. The chaise lounges at the pool were cheap and uncomfortable not a five star hotel. The main building is in need of upkeep and a deep clean. Stained carpeting, worn furniture. The wall art and furnishings are not in keeping with the tutor building. Bright and modern. I found that rather disappointing. The historic main building and the grounds are a five star. Overall, the hotel is a three star at best.
