Heartfelt hospitality enhanced by a glorious National Trust lakeside setting at Farnham's only 4-star hotel. Retreat from the world a while in this scenic spot on the edge of the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, looking out over Frensham Great Pond.
Floor-to-ceiling windows flaunt the dazzling natural beauty literally on your doorstep when you dine at The Watermark. If you can bear to tear yourself away (tucking in to that succulent steak or pan-fried cod fillet), you can eat easy knowing that we take great pride in supporting our local suppliers and promoting animal welfare. Yes siree!
We get our Casterbridge beef from carefully selected English farms where animal welfare is a top priority; insisting on Red Tractor accreditation, we champion a ‘farm to fork’ supply chain. What’s more, our Norbury Blue cheese comes from Surrey’s only artisan cheesemakers, and our eggs arrive fresh from local, family-run Great Hookley Farm.

March 2025I stayed here for one night as a work overnight. The staff were very helpful and attentive. I was served by Anton at breakfast and dinner, he was great. Drank coffee in the sun after breakfast overlooking the pond...lovely.

March 2025Had a lovely one night stay for my 50th birthday! Absolutely loved every minute of our stay, a lovely escape from reality, only wished we had stayed for longer! Would love to wake up here every day, so already planning to visit again, and maybe make use of the spa facilities this time

March 2025I came here for lunch hoping for good food and a nice location. While the location delivered, the food is pedestrian at best. The meat was tasteless, the salads dry (when were they prepared?), desert tasted like it was out of a bottle. It's really not worth the money. A 'regular' pub offers better food at better prices. If you must dine with the views, have a drink and eat elsewhere.
