We recently held our wedding at Smeetham Hall barn and we have to say everything was magical and the day was perfect. We had a few venue changes before we found Smeetham and we are so happy that by the will of the universe we not only found the venue but the PERFECT venue for any type of wedding. From the first visit to look around Sophie and her team were amazing, they were clear and concise in all aspects of what the venue offered and how they would help us plan our perfect day. They really are specialists in what they do and we are so grateful and privileged for their expertise. Our day went without a hitch as Sophie, Zoe and the team guided us through, thinking of every detail to ensure that our day was catered for our individuality. The venue is excellent value for money, the best possible when we compare to our original venue. The rustic feel of the barn and the gardens make it a perfect place for exquisite photography and still allows for modern twists. They were able to accommodate our various form of entertainment easily and seamlessly, whether it be the games and bouncy castle in the courtyard for the children, our acoustic live sessions after the ceremony, and the live band and DJ sets for the reception, literally the team will do ANYTHING to make your day perfect. Their ability to make you feel comfortable, looked after and keep everything flowing on your big day is second to none. Our guests commented on how beautiful the venue is and how the atmosphere was perfect. WE THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS THE BEST DAY OF OUR LIVES. The catering for our big day was unreal, many of our guests commented that the food was among the best they had ever eaten at any wedding they had ever attended. Hayley helped us choose our perfect menu letting us change minor details where we needed to accommodate specialist dietary needs to give us our perfect menu and Lucy was our representative on the day and we could not fault her at all. She and her team prepared everything from the reception drinks, through to the wedding breakfast. Her attention to me and my now husband in particular was lovely. Lucy would literally find us no matter how far we were whether it was checking if we were okay, or bringing us a drink to calm the nerves or cool us down. Wilton and flower were also amazing, providing us with all the decorative touches we needed. They helped to guide us as we really had no idea what we needed. Highly recommend! As soon as we viewed Smeetham Hall Barn,we knew it was perfect for us. We had a large wedding (150 daytime guests) so we knew we needed a large versatile space which could accommodate this many guests for the wedding breakfast but also provide a large dance floor and enough space for reception drinks indoors if the weather wasn't good. Sophie and the team were so calm and friendly but also incredibly organised and responsive to any questions we had throughout the whole process. I never felt like any question we had were too much. On the day, the team were beyond incredible! We had various plans due to the uncertain weather forecast yet everything ran seamlessly. Their timing and ability to make everything flow without us even thinking about it is so appreciated. So many of our guests commented on how beautiful the barn looked, how much space both indoors and outdoors there was to enjoy and what an amazing atmosphere there was inside the barn throughout the evening especially with the live band. Myself and my husband had the pleasure of getting married at Smeetham last week and what a dream it was. From our initial viewing of the venue up until our goodbyes, the staff were excellent. Communication was always top tier, responses were quick and they were always warm and welcoming. As soon as we left the venue on our initial viewing we knew it was the one for us. The barn is filled with so much character and looks effortlessly beautiful even without decoration. The surrounding grounds are spacious and well looked after and make a great back drop for photos. The whole day ran so smoothly with no hiccups which was such a relief and I was able to switch off immediately and enjoy the day.
