As everyday life gets busier, it is becoming increasingly popular for couples to want their big day to be more of a relaxed couple of days, offering a real chance for close family and friends to be involved in the planning and preparations, and spending some quality time with the people who mean the most to them. The days of the happy couple only achieving a quick 'hello & goodbye' to their guests are fast dwindling and a more personal type of wedding tradition is happily emerging. This is at the heart of everything we do at Deer's Leap Retreat.
We offer a beautiful farmhouse with private hot tub and sauna, providing accommodation for 18, available for exclusive hire for civil ceremonies and weddings. An intimate venue surrounded by countryside, where you can stay in a relaxed atmosphere and create the wedding you dream of.
A wedding co-ordinator is available to help you plan your day, in a setting where you can do as much or as little of the preparations as you choose. Deer's Leap offers the flexibility to have your day catered by us, a caterer of your choice or self- cater - as you wish. We can provide everything from breakfast for you and your guests on the big day, to a full reception dinner after your ceremony, or if you're looking for something less formal, you can have afternoon tea or a hog roast.
Deer's Leap offers various settings for your perfect day. You can say 'I do' by the lake in a handcrafted gazebo, built from our own trees, or in a beautiful, old stone barn which offers a rustic backdrop to your day. If you're planning a smaller wedding and want a more intimate, indoor wedding, the main farmhouse offers a choice of rooms with oak beams and inglenook fireplaces.
Have your wedding breakfast in the garden under a stretch canopy or hire in tipis, tents or the marquee of your choice. At Deer's Leap, you truly can have complete control over creating the wedding of your dreams & we're here to help every step of the way.
