This was a great hotel. I stayed in the premier suite which was a great size. The room was clean and everything I needed was there. The breakfast was great, continental, cereal, full cooked were all available and as much as you could eat. Great central location, very close to the theatres. Recommend!!!!

We enjoyed our spa day, the treatments were lovely. The facilities were a bit dated and the pool and aroma room were cold, although the steam room and sauna were good and the atmosphere was very relaxing. We then had brilliant service from Renata in the restaurant and the food was top class. It works better financially to book a package including treatment and food rather than pay separately as it will add up fast.

If you do not have a significant amount of luggage then the walk from the train station is not too bad, but it is uphill. Additionally, if you are following Google maps, you will have some steps to walk up- okay if you have a rucksack or similar item. However, if you have a heavy suitcase then although the distance looks small, it would be more advisable to actually get some transport or assistance. The location of the host hotel is very good, it can be slightly noisy however, and as the walk is away from the main road, some people can feel slightly unnerved but generally during the week it is not too busy but there are people around as it is a student Town centre. It can be a limited walk to various eateries and entertainment centres. The food at breakfast is generally quite good and the rooms are a good size. Although some people may get the Shining vibe from the carpet in the corridors- they are however reassuringly quite wide. It seems a rarity to have a room with a shower and a bath these days. However, pleasantly surprised that both were in the standard room- although that may not be applicable to all.

First visit to Sheffield. Stayed with my partner there for 3 nights to attend a course Booking process was super easy, I did that over phone and this was a straightforward experience. Location was very good for me, literally 5 min walk from the university. Plenty of restaurants around, all were good and within a very short walk. However, bear in mind that you need to book a table if your coming on a weekend. Parking is separate, but you get discount if you book through the hotel. Q park building is 3 min walk from hotel. Customer service was superb, the hair dryer broke and when my partner spoke to reception, it was changed in a very short time. The room was clean, however small for a king size. Barely a space to move around which was a bit of inconvenience. Also the view of the window is narrowed with the cladding on the roof. The bed is very comfortable and it was quite too, so I had no roubles falling a sleep after a long day. I had breakfast added to my booking and honestly was not too impressed with it. Not the quality I would have hoped for but was ok for me as I got to eat before heading to the course. But if I’ll go back there for a holiday, I won’t add breakfast. My experience was overall good and I recommend this hotel to be one of the options of anyone is considering coming to Sheffield.

Stayed at this hotel through a spa package. Room and hotel was very clean and pleasant. The spa on the other hand was dirty, dark and not pleasant. The pool was cold, we were using the facility’s on a Saturday, there were children in the pool having lessons shouting and splashing. We could have gone to our local swimming baths if that’s what we knew we were going to experience. The experience rooms weren’t all that great, the ‘ice room’ was a room with a pile of ice in it, wasn’t very cold or very clean. The treatment its self was lovely, the girls upstairs at the treatment rooms were really nice, and did a great job. We then went to leave and my friend handed back the robes and the locker key, which then the receptionist should have given back my friends ID which they took to ensure we would return the locker key. But she didn’t, all be it my friend to forgot to ask, but you would have thought when she gave the key back the receptionist would have said. The hotel then charged my friend £4.50 to post it back to us. The breakfast was really nice, plenty of selection. I’d book the hotel it’s self again if I needed to stay in Sheffield but definitely not the spa.
