We attend our friends wedding hear and stayed the night. Where their ceremony and wedding reception was is nice and separate from the main building which is nice. Nice outside area and pizza oven for food in the evening. I’m not sure what the wedding coordinator was doing because at times there was confusion where to be and what to do but other than that the service was fine. The biggest letdown are the rooms! This certainly can’t be best western standards! The rooms need a lot of attention, not clean, and wallpaper was literally pealing off the walls. We didn’t get much sleep as the walls are thin and we could hear everything from the room next door and they seemed to have a lot of fun all night 😩😅

During my four night stay at this hotel I found that hot water in the shower is a rare commodity, which as the staff told me, is due to one boiler for the entire hotel, combined with the number of people showering when you do. That makes the availability of a hot shower a roll of the dice, really. Furthermore, the showerhead is fixed to the wall, which makes washing in specific area's rather challenging. In my opinion this is a serious downside to this otherwise acceptable hotel. The room is tidied on Sundays only, unless requested otherwise, out of environmental considerations. The room itself is spacious and in good order. The staff is friendly. One morning, the fire alarm went off, but it turned out to be a false alarm. An incident, no doubt, but still, it adds to the overall experience. All in all I would say that my stay has been acceptable, but hardly more than that.

There was a foul-up in the booking and we had to accept a room downgrade at check-in but the hotel refused to refund the difference in the room rate. Also the breakfast used to be served to order but now it's a buffet and it had run out of some items. We have stayed here many times while visiting family nearby but we won't be coming back.

Went to Mosborough Hall last night for a Christmas Party night it was fine, food was mediocre for the price but the worst thing about it was the DJ, he was very rude. I don’t know what else to say about him. I went up and I asked him if he could play some Christmas music this was about 10:30 at night no Christmas music had been played at all and he said no, I said 'you’re not playing any music Christmas music' and his reply was 'I might play one' it was a Christmas Party night, I found him just extremely rude and Mosborough HalI I think you need to speak to your DJ, loads of people were grumbling about him, 3 Christmas songs were play all night on a Christmas Party night, hence it's a 1 star from me.

Room decor old and tired with inground dirt and in a poor state. Bath surrounded by black mould in the tiles and rotten wooden skirting. Heated towel rail not working, nor was the bathroom air extractor, hence the room stayed damp and wet throughout my stay. Rust stains in sink. Bed overly soft, which made me think it was very old. Sheets very thin, and again, felt old. Towels smelled like they had not been laundered for a long time, and perhaps put away while slightly damp. No hot water in shower...more like luke warm to cool. Terrible on a cold morning. Food wasn't bad, although extremely slow in the evening, waiting for almost an hour for 4 meals to be delivered. Flasks of hot water for tea making never fully boiled, hence tea was never nice. Shame, as if the owners invested a bit of money, and the managers invested a bit of pride, this could be a much better venue. Location handy enough for M1.
