Have stayed here many time but this was the worst room we've ever had. If you are a family of 4 and you get room 117, decline it and ask for another room. We had no hangers. The eyelets were there but no hangers. I went to phone the reception, but the phone didn't work. Went down, told them and then, who I assume was the manager came to the room and gave me 3 hangers, yes that's x3 hangers for 4 guests staying in a room, so not even 1 hanger per guest. One of the hangers had some sort of mold on it (see photos). He also said he'll fix the phone in the morning so if I needed anything else, I had to make the journey down to reception again. In addition to all this there is no desk or chair in this room, whereas, when we've stopped in other rooms in this hotel there always has been. Disappointing. Is this something to do with shrinkflation? We had something to eat downstairs. We wasn't told the Thai Green Curry wasn't available until we went to order. It would have been nice to have been told when the waitress sat us down at the table. We ordered the other Curry option and 3 BBQ ribs. We ordered at 7:31 and didn't get the meal until after 8:30. Waiting over an hour for a meal and it wasn't even busy. The waitress acknowledged the wait and apologise for it but I still don't know why it took so long. When the meal did eventually come, the waitress brought us a plate of garlic bread for the inconvenience but it was burnt, looking like it had been warmed up and then burnt, but it was still cold. Portion control for the BBQ ribs was amiss. One had a lot more chips than the other 2, and also a larger bowl of coleslaw (see photo). Curry was OK. At 2:30am in the morning there was a massive commotion outside. A party of guest had been out and arrived back at 2:30am, shouting, talking very loudly and with a booming laugh every other sentence - with absolute no consideration for any of the other guests staying there. Our room, the dreadful 117, was directly above the main entrance door. At 2:50am they then started banging on the entrance door as it was locked and kept on banging until the night porter/receptionist arrived to let them in. Unbelievable!!! It woke all of us up and there didn't seem to be any attempt made by the night porter to ask the rowdy guests to be a little quiet and respect the other guests. This is the closest hotel to where we go so will reluctantly stay again, but if I get room 117 I will refuse it and will definitely not eat in again.

Had to teach the night man how to charge me for my drink and then randomly the morning (5am) they tried to take £400 which was declined and then actually took £350. Luckly my phone tells me. When I challenged this, I was told because you booked all 4 rooms on your IHG app it had not spread the deposit. Evidently this was my fault for not booking rooms correctly on their app. Then the manager implied I could have been nicer about it. Unbelievable. I did not shout or swear or anything....nothing is these guys fault. So if you stay check your card before you go.
