This hotel is one of few Oxfordshire venues to offer outdoor ceremonies for weddings, so you can choose to say your vows outside on the intimate lawn, surrounded by the enchanting gardens.
The hotel itself has three wonderful banqueting suites, so whether you are planning a small affair or a larger celebration, it has the perfect space to host your guests. We can accommodate receptions up to 180 people.
A selection of private dining menus are available in addition to a BBQ option on our stunning outdoor terrace. 77 bedrooms offer on-site accommodation with the option of Elm House, a luxurious self-contained lodge, ideal for families or groups.

January 2025We stayed at this hotel in early December with our 19-month-old baby and absolutely loved it! Our room was very spacious, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable (it was impossible to get out of bed in the morning). The breakfast was delicious! The Christmas decorations were beautifully done! We thoroughly enjoyed our night at this hotel, which is ideally located. A big thank you to the entire team, who were very welcoming!

March 2025We had an amazing stay for our weekend in Oxford in this hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and clean and the hotel is well located. Easy parking for your car and then a 10 min bus ride to the city centre. Breakfast was not included in our room so we paid per person for the next morning breakfast and we were not disappointed A wide variety of foods with 2 buffets, 1 with English breakfast and the other continental. Also the option to order something cooked from the kitchen was also included. Very tasty everything and the staff very polite, organised and quick. Totally recommend it!

March 2025Really lovely hotel. Comfortable beds, great water pressure, huge TV with Bluetooth connectivity. The breakfast is outstanding, quality ingredients and a great selection. All the staff are friendly and attentive without being intrusive. I love this hotel, have stayed here many times. There's a beautiful 2 mile walk along the river Thames straight into the heart of the city.

February 2025I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The staff are absolutely lovely—helpful, welcoming, and always ready to assist. The breakfast and dinner were excellent, with a great selection. I really appreciated the made-to-order breakfast option alongside the buffet, as I prefer my eggs cooked a certain way. The location is perfect in my opinion—just a 30-minute walk or a 15-minute trip by public transport to the city center. The walk itself is beautiful, with a scenic path along the Thames just a few minutes from the hotel. While close to Oxford, the hotel feels more like a countryside retreat, offering a peaceful escape with easy access to the city’s charm. Would definitely stay here again!

March 2025From the moment we stepped through the door, we were made to feel so welcome, valued and cared for! The accommodation was spacious, spotlessly clean with a tasteful, quirky decor that we very much enjoyed throughout the interior of the hotel. The food was totally amazing and we were very lucky to enjoy the first days of the new menu. Nothing disappointed! - the flavour combinations, the perfect cooking and the service were all of the highest standard and left us so very impressed. Our breakfasts were fabulous too - piping hot and what a selection. A special thanks to Wendy and the other ladies for such a cheery, warm welcome to the start of our day. We wish we had taken more notes of names but everyone we encountered during our stay deserves praise for going over and above at every opportunity.
