Very quaint and old fashioned hotel. Excellent staff service and the bar, restaurante and lounge are beautiful with great history. Bedrooms are a bit underwhelming and could do with some modernisation (e.g. plug sockets by the bed) but was nice to be in an old fashioned traditional establishment in contrast to your standard premier inn type hotel.

Stayed for nearly 2 weeks here and had excellent service throughout. The staff were amazing during my stay. We had a celebration of life in the back room and the staff service, the room and the food was all exceptional! 10/10 for all of it. Connor the chef certainly excels at his job with food. We had a family Sunday lunch and the food again was absolutely delicious again down to the great chef they now have. No disappointment on anything and totally recommend this place for both functions, the accommodation, the food and the amazing helpful staff. Thank you to you all.

Lovely fresh room. No lift though. Room lacked clothes hooks in bathroom, shelf for accessories in bathroom, telephone, drinks coasters to protect polished surfaces. Not a complaint for short stay, just an observation, which I'm sure will be remedied promptly. Breakfast table service good. Staff obliging and friendly.

I will start by saying the hotel is ok. My room is clean and spacious, if a little bit tired. The young lady on reception was v pleasant. What has really annoyed me is that the bar and the restaurant are not open. Closed!! Not forever, just Mon and Tue apparently. I had a long day at work just needed a beer when I got back to my "hotel". Just to chill out. Sorry sir doesn't open until tomorrow!! What!! 27 bedroom hotel that can't be bothered to open its bar or restaurant on a Tuesday. Ridiculous. Saracens head sounds like a pub ........clearly not. Had I known I wouldn't have booked, but I couldn't find any mention on their website. I'm gobsmacked that they think this is acceptable.
