Once the home of the romantic poet Lord Byron, Newstead Abbey is steeped in history and Gothic Charm
A hidden gem the Abbey is a medieval masterpiece that was built in the 12th century, now a perfect all year round wedding venue offering couples the opportunity to tie the knot in a unique and utterly beautiful location.  With Gothic arches and leaded stained glass windows the beautiful setting of the cloisters is the ideal aisle leading to the Orangery with its large crystal chandelier and majestic windows looking out onto the formal gardens.
Refreshments can be served in the simple elegance of the Garden room and French garden. While the incredible Abbey’s majestic gardens offers breath-taking photographic opportunities around every corner including quintessentially English rose garden, historic Japanese garden plus an impressive fern collection. Plus no wedding would be complete without a glimpse of the resident friendly peacocks.
Inside the hall has sweeping stair ways leading to the Great Hall, with oak-beamed panel walls and magnificent fireplaces. You and your guests can enjoy the wedding breakfast in the West Front Suite a contemporary space with a historic feeling which offers a neutral backdrop for your own styling
