Check in was a breeze with a very helpful lady & lots of parking.. Our Room was spacious and clean as was the bathroom. Room 214 shower head was broken and completely useless so just as well it was over a bath. Plenty of hot water. Bed very comfortable, room was a little dark on the 2nd floor. Bar was well stocked and reasonably priced. Breakfast was adequate with lean back rashers, meaty sausages tinned tomatoes & baked beans. The mushrooms were dry & the scrambled egg uninviting. Sliced loaf was fresh. They could do with an upgraded tea/coffee station. Overall quite satisfied

Met up with a friend who is staying there & we both had an evening meal at the hotel, to be honest wasn't expecting much, but the food turned out to be EXCELLENT! I had the steak pie, mash and peas, my friend had one of the Burger meals. Mine was very well presented and portion was bigger than expected and very tasty. Mash was also superb - would come here again just for the food.

We stayed for a night to take advantage of the weeks parking package for flight from East Midlands. This was a good price in my opinion. The room was a good size, clean and quiet. We didn’t eat there. It’s def got conference hotel vibes with not much character. The decor was rather bare and the TV area was very, overly brightly lit. But overall we’d stay again. The lady at reception is a real character and gave us a warm welcome. And the included taxi service to the airport was great.

Reception staff left us waiting at reception whilst they ate their breakfast at the tables like guests. Then greeted us with mouthfuls of food and directed us to where we needed to go. The conference room smelt fusty and sweaty. The spoons with coffee that was available were filthy. It was used for what it was needed for then we left. I would not recommend this as a venue to use for our company training again.
