I attended a workshop in the Northill Suite on a day of heavy rains and I was blown over by the staff’s professionalism and overall sense of calm while they dealt with the flooding all around the hotel and car parks. Our event went ahead without a hitch and not a single cutback in service levels. I felt safe and kept informed throughout the day.

I took my wife and son, for a meal there to celebrate my 70th birthday. We were received by 2 very polite receptionist, and was shown to a very nice table near the bar. The meal was of high quality with first class table service. The whole experience was very good and one that we will repeat again.

Everything about the Kingfisher was perfect. My husband and I came here for our wedding anniversary. The customer service was excellent, there wasn’t anything that couldn’t be done. The restaurant was warm, quiet and inviting and our food and drinks were delicious! Will definitely be back. Thank you to the incredible team.

Came here for my brother’s wedding. The staff were incredibly hospitable. Breakfast was lovely every morning with options to have freshly cooked and then a buffet style option too. Rooms were comfortable but a little on the colder side.

I stayed here for work and was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was here. The service at check-in was really good from a gentleman who was very knowledgeable. The room's are nice and spacious, nice to have a smart TV where you can play YouTube on and the bed's are very comfortable, I'd only like maybe a mini fridge in the room and there's a good selection of amenities in the bathroom with hand soap, shampoo and body wash. Breakfast in the morning was really good, having options cooked to order and the option of the buffet style, one morning it was continental and another morning it was an English breakfast style buffet. I did like the touch of having a coffee or tea made for you at your table. As a group, we did dine at the restaurant and this really knocks it down, the starters were okay, nothing to rave about, however, the mains was a bit of a let down as I had ordered a steak medium-rare and my work colleague ordered a steak medium. I had was presented with the medium steak (and stated it was medium rare) and my colleague had my medium rare steak - it wasn't a deal breaker, but out of the three steaks that were cooked, mine was the smallest compared to the other two. We also had a bottle of wine and requested a second bottle, which seemed to take forever to arrive, when we got the attention of the waitress, she stated that they had to get the bottle out of the cellar and would have to wait for it to be brought to room temperature, by this time we didn't want the wine and decided to leave it. Upon paying, I did request the removal of the service charge, the group of four of us agreed that the service didn't merit the service charge of 10%. Upon waking up the following morning, I was presented with a bill for dinner from the previous evening, which turned out after discussions with the reception to have been an error and I had accidentally been billed. Whilst this is an honest mistake, if this wasn't challenged I fear that someone may have paid for a charge that they did not incur. Overall, the rooms and stay at the Kingfisher was really good and the check-in staff were excellent, the location is really nice too. The only downsides are the service from the restaurant staff for the main meal we had, the length of time to get a second bottle of wine and the error in me being charged for somebody else's meal.
