December 2024I was taken for an afternoon tea birthday surprise at the hotel. It was amazing, the staff made me feel so special on my birthday. We were served with so much care,attention and loveliness. The decor of the room was amazing. The ambience was wonderful - it was all so perfect. All the food and beverages were so tasty - it was the best afternoon tea experience we could have ever wished for. Thank you.

March 2025We had our small wedding here at the beginning of February. A few minor issues were encountered at the early stage or organising, however the staff did everything they could to assist with all issues being dealt with promptly and efficiently. It was a beautiful venue. All staff on the day were efficient and informative. If anything didn't go to plan we certainly never knew about it. We were able to relax and enjoy our day knowing that everything was being dealt with in safe hands. I also had a health issue crop up just before the big day which meant a change to diet. Again, this was no issue and the chef took time out the evening before to go through options and my food on the day was delicious! Now we get to look back on our beautiful photos and memories. Highly recommend.

March 2025The hotel is based in the centre of Bedford by the river with free parking. I have been to the Thermal Spa which is very nice and relaxing space, they have limits on how many people are in each session, so never feels really busy. The rooms are each decorated in an individual style and are very comfortable, I haven't stayed here but I have been given a tour of the various rooms in the hotel. I have also had afternoon tea which was delicious, there was enough without being overwhelmed. I would go back in the future..I had both the traditional and the Anne afternoon tea and both were very good. I would return in the future for an afternoon tea or a wonderful stay

March 2025Had spent two nights at The Swan during which we booked The Holland Suite, which was their best option. The room was very pretty, however only being cleaned every two days meant that it was not going to be cleaned during our stay. The staff were great, friendly and willing to help with services that we required, we also spent one night using the thermal spa at an extra charge. The spa was great, and well worth the money helping us to relax after a long week of travel. The only negative factors of our room was that the hot water was definitely lacking, and a minor leak underneath our sink.

March 2025It's a nice hotel. Lovely views of the river. The staff are great. However, I've stayed at the place a few times and in each room I've had, the air conditioning units make such a noise all night that I find it very hard to get a good night's sleep.
