What an incredible place! A wonderful location that feels entirely out of the way, yet incredibly convenient. From the moment we turned into the drive, we knew it was going to be something special. The building is beautiful and the grounds incredible, flowing down to the river. Our stay was perfect, from the gorgeous and wonderfully spacious Blackberry cottage that was a home from home to the team that always seem to be right on hand! The hotel was a lovely relaxed feel, yet the standards and high - the breakfast is one of the best I’ve had with a very well thought out menu. The bar a lovely place to have a drink, as is the main hallway where you can relax in front of the fire in the most comfortable sofas! The spa is amazing - no surprise it’s already won the accolade of best spa in the area - it’s quite something. Incredible facilities, with impressive main area with hydrotherapy pool and experience shower - where else can you shower with polar bears! The team have clearly put a lot of thought in to the new addition, with lots of lovely details that make the experience even more special - then there’s the incredible food! Nothing’s too much trouble for the Norfolk Mead team and it’s a wonderful place to hide away for few days - we can’t wait to return!

I recently attended a full spa day at the Norfolk Mead. From the minute I walked in I was greeted by the friendly staff, shown to the cafe area where my friends were waiting for me and given directions to the changing rooms. The robes supplied were of really high quality. I thought the hairdryers/straighteners in the changing rooms were a lovely touch too. I had a treatment of a full body deep tissue massage and felt amazing afterwards. Pool area was lovely, as well as the outside hot tub area. Didn't spend alot of time out there as it was pouring with rain, but can imagine it being lovely on a sunny day. We also had afternoon tea, it was amazing!

My sister and I went for a lovely spa afternoon. They were super accommodating to my sister’s many food allergies and we were serve a lovely afternoon tea which we were both able to enjoy. We chose A 30min massage was part of our package which we both thoroughly enjoyed. After our treatment we were able to meet in the relaxation room before heading to the spa area which was delightful. The time went so quickly and I could have done with a couple more hours. The only thing I would have changed is I feel I could have benefited from a little longer between my big afternoon tea and my massage as I felt very full laying on a tummy full of food.

This is an amazing hotel and spa. The grounds and building are beautiful and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is outstanding, fresh and such a high standard The only two points I would say, I appreciate it was cold outside but the hotel was very cold during dinner. Even with the blanket provided in the bar after it was cold The hotel provided two hours complimentary use of the spa. There after it was £50 each for 4 hours use of the spa even though my partner had booked treatments. However, I would still recommend the hotel and would return

A great hotel in a lovely Georgian building, staff were very friendly and welcoming. We ate there on the first night, found the smaller restaurant lacking in any atmosphere or 'you're in the Norfolk broads' feel to it. Food was nice however. Breakfast was also very good every morning, Very egg orientated but cooked well. The room was nice, spacious and warm. Could hear the music playing downstairs in the restaurant up until 11:30pm for the 3 nights we were there which was a little annoying. Expected better quality finish for the price of the rooms, kettle looked cheap, toilet seat isn't fitted correctly and not silent closing, the his & hers mirrors also hung uneven in the ensuite. Trying to exit or enter your room with your hands full or luggage is a pain as you need to put the key in the lock, keep it turned and unlocked whilst with your other hand open the door with the handle, a little thing but still annoying at times. Would consider staying again in the future, but for £200 per night, it still needs something to give you the feeling it's worth it. Other than the location and the property being very attractive.
