February 2025We had amazing two nights stay at Maids Head and would whole-heartedly recommend this hotel. Yes it’s a bit dated and not step free, we still had very good nights of sleep, bed was comfy with different types of pillows available. The service was indeed second to none. We spoke to four different members on reception, all very welcoming and informative. There was good selection of food at breakfast, and the two gentlemen working in the restaurant were very attentive and helpful. Most of all, Nigel was wonderful, he drove us around Norwich in the beautiful Bentley, it was such a great experience. With its great location and parking onsite, in addition to the great service, this is THE hotel of choice in Norwich. Make sure you choose an upgraded room.

February 2025Room was very clean and well equipped but small - probably as small as it could be. Service was professional and friendly. The only little point would be that when stopping at the front to ask where we should park we got told, correctly, the car park was round the back. More info would have been useful as it was not obvious where the hotel entrance was and itdaas raining hard and we got soaked having found our way to Wetherspoons which, judging by the lovely glass area, we thought may have been advertising the name of the restaurant within. For anyone going there be aware as you drive into the car park the hotel entrance is over to the left of this large car park. We only had bar snacks in the hotel and they were very good.

January 2025What a wonderful hotel this is. The photos on the web don’t do it justice. Some things that you might find helpful - - Really lovely bedrooms - iPads in rooms to order, to check in, to view menus etc, however ours didn’t work and everything is on there so a bit stuck if it doesn’t work - Lovely bathrooms, although the control for the smaller shower in our room was extremely stiff and found it difficult to turn on. I had an operation and needed to use the smaller shower head rather than the large. Sorted it in the end though - Very central - hotel is perfectly located for a city break and the car park is charged at £8 a night - Food - a few observations with regards to the restaurant and the room service. The menu on the room service (some meals similar to the main menu) were charged at a higher price which is fine, however they then charge for the room service and add on a tip which makes it very expensive. restaurant food - due to the room service we checked out the food at the restaurant, no option but to have a 2 or 3 course meal. A 2 course meal is charged at £48.75 which makes it extremely expensive (included photos of the menu) and we also weren’t that hungry. Breakfast price does not include Cappuccino or latte, these are extra - Staff - staff are lovely! - Breakfast time - Sunday breakfast is served until 10 however you are best to get there a fair bit earlier to avoid things running out like they were when we stayed. At this point it was too late to get anything else (9.45). Our fault, we should have got up earlier but always nice to have a lie in at the weekend. We had a really enjoyable stay and will be back! Paid £142 including breakfast.
