Wonderful hotel in Newcastle. Everybody very helpful and prepared. I’ve had a work event going on for 3 weeks and the staff has been extremely attentive throughout the process (managing 70 people, meeting rooms and guests). A big thank you to Helen, Katie and Ben. Very communicative and my team and I could constantly rely on them every day (especially with sudden and not on the plan requests). Thank you all!

I booked a suite for a night of relaxation and some much needed me time. My room wasn’t ready for a 3pm check in but I was offered lounge access while I waited 20 minutes. The views from the lounge are lovely. I was extremely happy with the suite, and the balcony & bed made the stay! The bed was big and cosy, the balcony made for a nice surprise. My only issue, however very minor was that there was no beans in the club lounge breakfast. The evening drinks and food served was delicious though, please make use of this if you get a club room. The room, service and lounge access really were greta value for money.

Myself and my partner stayed here for a one night escape after our wedding. We arrived an hour early, and the helpful receptionist allowed us to check in early. Our room was very clean and comfortable. However, the water pressure was fairly poor in the shower and bath. We dined in the hotel restaurant that evening and further received great service and the food was lovely. Attached to the hotel is the 'Gin bar', which was a lovely little bar to sit and grab some food and drink whilst being serenaded by a fantastic pianist. I wanted to surprise my partner with a bottle of fizz in the room, and they couldn't be more accommodating with my request and even went beyond and decorated the room with rose petals. We also made use of the spa and had two treatments each. They were both relaxing, and the service received was professional. The pool was quiet, and they had a small jacuzzi and a shallow pool, which was refreshing to swim in. The steam room was fairly small, and not many people could fit in at a time, so if it was busy, that would be more of an issue. We finished our stay at the plaza with breakfast in the morning, which was a tasteful variety, a mixture of hot and cold foods. This hotels location is near the city centre and has plenty of bars near it and restaurants, making it an ideal place to stay for a getaway. Myself and my wife both would recommend staying at the Crowne Plaza.

Stayed here on many occasions and it's situated perfectly for enjoying the city. It's a short walk from the train station and if travelling via car, it's just off the redhuegh bridge. Building and rooms are modern and spacious. The staff are normally very friendly and welcoming but we found that on this occasion, the bar staff appeared to be disengaged and not really paying attention, having to re-ask what the order was ( only two of us). We use the gym on this occasion, small and compact, it was quiet when we were in. There's also a small pool area, which we didn't try out.

The hotel itself is very modern, clean and bright which I enjoyed, Unfortunately I found haribo wrappers in my room which was a clear sign it wasn't cleaned correctly. On top of this our shower didn't have any conditioner or shampoo in the bottles. I did attempt the contact the front desk & the pool service by the telephone in the room but unfortunately they cut off and didn't actually connect me to anyone. I came here for my birthday which I told the hotel but I didn't get any "happy birthday" upon arrival as I was expecting unfortunately, even though it was one of the options on their booking system. Pool area was very nice, gin bar was extremely expensive. I most likely would come here again, just a few negatives here and there which let it down.
