Great hotel with a bonus spa attached, bar food was good and the breakfast was awesome. Not being a football fan the grounds and surroundings were wasted on me! But great for my visit to the National Arboretum. Staff throughout the hotel were friendly and very welcoming.

I came here to use the spa/pool facilities and had a lovely time. I had booked for a massage and a light lunch, and the staff were very accommodating. Chris came over so I could choose the oils for my massage, and let me smell them all, explaining what each one is for. I then had my massage with Fay, and she is one talented therapist! She was very friendly throughout, explaining what she was doing, remaining professional yet very friendly. All in all, very friendly staff, beautiful location, if you're thinking about booking here, do it!

Came from London for a quick getaway. I chose this hotel because I wanted to stay somewhere where I could have exactly what I wanted and wasn’t fussed about the cost. I sustained a foot injury in their showers. I was in excruciating pain and requested ice for my swollen foot which took like an hour. The next morning we were told that we were taking too many breakfast plates to our rooms after we were given the impression that we could. The first day we ate all we wanted in the restaurant and the second day I couldn’t walk properly so it had to be brought to me. We were told its not a breakfast buffet and there is a limit on what u can take which is confusing. I feel like you should be clear about your policies so that there is no confusion. If its not a buffet then let people know or if there is a limit let people know. It just didn't make sense, we were told we can eat as much as we want in the restaurant and then there’s a limit in our rooms when I could not walk properly because of my injury I sustained on site to be able to physically go to restaurant which is why I had to eat in my room. It definitely put a dampener on things because you pay so much for everything hoping that you’re paying for what u would like, to find out that there is a problem with it, plus I thought they knew about my injury so it was all confusing. U spend a lot for them to complain about the breakfast. Overall a nice place I would recommend in general. And the spa is very lovely.

A beautiful restaurant on our visit for an evening meal, but service for us was very slow and some orders were wrong or missing. Soup was not as the desk mentioned. We ordered mushy peas, but came with garden peas, and ice cream missing from my dessert. Was surprised that no cask beer with two major Breweries not too far away, and like others we have known, we got lost trying to get out of the grounds....not enough exit signs. But food was good and hot, just disappointed some of it wasn't right. Don't think we will we be going again.
