Just here for dinner with family. Service was very good, food was between average and good. I had gammon but the egg was over cooked, rubber egg, (it could have also done with a slice of pineapple.) The beef pie was (apparently) very good. I'll make this choice next time, (may be 🤔). I had a new item on the specials menu for starter the Crumpet. I apparently, was number one customer to have this and was asked what were my thoughts. I'll tell you what I told them. It was very good, tasty and different, but it was served in a very deep bowl and had to be eaten with a knife and fork. The bowl was far too deep for this method and it should be served in either a shallower bowl or a plate. There was also a wedding on during our visit and it was very noisy and there was a group of young kids 5-8 year olds running wild, they were even allowed to run through the restaurant even though the wedding party was in a distant room. But kids are kids, I blame the parents 🥴. Management should have stopped it as all the dinners had nothing to do with the wedding and the kids became a bit of a nuisance as the evening rolled on even after 4 hours. One of our family had dietary problems and when told, the staff were brilliant and very attentive. I may go again but I will check to make sure there's no weddings.
