Salim and the rest of the staff were absolutely fantastic and made our stay! We were made to feel extremely welcome and are already looking at booking our next stay! Breakfast was outstanding, and the service was impeccable. The room was clean and had a unique modern design. The hotel had an extremely calm vibe, everywhere you went you felt comfortable and relaxed. The spa was lovely, and so relaxing. They have different flavoured waters for you daily. The hotel was an all round 5 star experience for us, we have stayed in many other 5 star hotels but the hospitality especially stood out to us with this one. Thank you again to the team at the Edwardian manchester!

From check in, to bar staff, spa staff, sleep, and check out... Was a completely flawless hotel experience. The room and bathroom was spacious and comfortable. Lovely bedding and bedroom amenities such as espresso machine was part of our experience. Speaking of the gym alone, definitely the BEST hotel gym I have ever seen. The spa was relaxing with steam room, dry sauna, hot tub, and pool. If you're in Manchester for work or pleasure... I give this property two thumbs up.

This was are 3 rd stay hear this year and truly loved it.. great location, warm smiling staff, fantastic room, great king size bed, all warm and cosy.. you get dressing gowns and slippers. couch to sit and relax in the room is comfortable. There’s a spa and pool but always so busy we haven’t tried it yet but plan to next visit.fabulous choice of breakfast, just shame it’s streaky bacon 🥓 we like back bacon.. we’ve just got back and the massive Christmas tree is very classy and you feel very festive.. now there’s Gary who is a star , big smile, full of information and very helpful.. he’s a credit to the hotel.great team, nothing else to say but can’t wait to go back.

Location is excellent as everything is within walking distance, but while the rooms are nice, the pillows let it down as they are way too soft. They provide two extras, but again, they are too soft. We asked for firm pillows through the concierge, and they delivered yet another soft pillow. We ended up having a rather sleepless night as we couldn't get comfortable. We complained at reception on check-out and didn't really get the response we wanted—no apology or sympathy for the bad experience. We have been there for several years, and the pillows used to be nice and thick, but they changed it and ruined it.

I’ve also written a review on Trip Advisor to help other travellers avoid this awful hotel!! This is NOT a 5* or even remotely luxury experience you might be suckered into booking! I repeat it is NOT a luxury experience. We have arrived towing luggage behind us from a flight to be told that the spa closed at 7.45 (??? In what world does a 5* hotel close its spa at that hour firstly)- also note there’s not a bellboy, you will have to lug your belongings in with you as if you’re at a budget hotel. We were then told that the spa was ‘fully booked’ the bulk of the morning- they couldn’t extend our checkout any further. Nor could they comp any breakfast for not being able to get into the spa. The rooms are like something out of a budget hotel from back in the 00s with a musty smell, not a drop of bottled water in the room and our toilet door wouldn’t close properly. Also note, there’s no slippers to walk around in the room either- the carpet feels shabby, icky and unclean. We would have been better off saving our money and getting a cab straight home. What a dismal comedown after coming back from holiday. Ew. Avoid if you know what proper 5* hotels are or are wanting an experience where the hotel actually cares about its guests. I’ll be writing to management to make my concerns known. Room tip: AVOID AVOID AVOID!! Book the Midland hotel instead, beautiful service and welcoming rooms with extra friendly/helpful staff
