Located in a late Victorian courthouse on Deansgate, next door to Spinningfields, our aim is to serve the best steaks in Manchester. The interior is true to the building and features lots of reclaimed materials from the era, including parquet flooring from a (different) courthouse, panelling from Birmingham’s Sandwell College and (well-cleaned) glazed bricks from a public lavatory in Liverpool. The menu in our restaurant features the very best dry-aged beef, sustainable seafood and seasonal farm produce from the UK. You can also dine and drink in our bar featuring award-winning cocktails and nibbles including The Hawksmoor Burger and our British Jersey Rock oysters in 3 ways – natural, with bone marrow or Vietnamese-style. If you’d prefer more intimate dining, for small groups and celebrations we have a private dining room that seats 10-14.
Hawksmoor Manchester is available for full restaurant hire, availability can depend on time of year booking, and all requests are dealt with on a bespoke and tailored basis.

Been there with our staffs for lunch and it was just AMAZINGG... The food, service, ambience, everything. Table of 20 I guess or more so but the staffs giving us service were all friendly, explaining and giving recommendations as well. The scallops 💯 really liked the crumbs on top. Rib eye was cooked as I wanted. Getting over done steaks isn't a new thing 🥲. The sides, sauces and the wine. PERFECT. The tart was something else on its own. A treat to both the sight and the palate. (That was the 1st ever dessert I ate all and that too on my own.) Until next time 🫶🏻

All five of us came here as my son and his girlfriend recommended. Absolutely fabulous! The service, food atmosphere was a total wonderful experience. We came here on the 11/7/24 for my Son’s Graduation celebration. He was given a complimentary graduation celebration drink, that was a great surprise for him, shown in the photo. The new waiter I believe been working there for a week the way he worked I thought he had been there for years, was extremely helpful and our glasses were filled soon as they slightly became empty. The steak was succulent everything about the food took me to another place totally fantastic. We will all be back for another enjoyable time. Best service we ever have had. Top notch! THANK YOU!

We dined at Hawksmoor for our 4th anniversary and we had a wonderful time, start to finish. Our server for the afternoon was Samson, who I must say is the single best server we have ever had. He was attentive, extremely polite and knowledgeable, and truly amplified our experience - also every recommendation given by him was spot on. We were most impressed by the fact that when we entered we naturally had a conversation with our server, explaining we are celebrating our anniversary, our names, what we are up to etc. The server did not write this information down, however he remembered everything we had said, referenced it later and brought us out a lovely treat post meal for said anniversary - this really meant a lot to us, so thank you. The atmosphere was great, just the right amount of busy inside the restaurant. The decor is beautiful and we loved the architecture of the building. We had the sharing platter between us with all the trimmings and two sides (cauliflower cheese, stuffing) Starting with the platter, the steak was beautifully cooked to our liking (med rare), it was soft and buttery with a rich beef flavor. On the side we had buttered cabbage, carrots and roast potato's, all of which were cooked to perfection. The roast potatoes are arguably the most important thing on a roast, these were golden and crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, the gravy was also very rich and had subtle flavors of rosemary and red wine which paired perfectly with our drinks. Our sides were also spectacular, we've had friends recommend the stuffing to us for a while and it really lived up to our expectations, the marrow adds a lovely flavour and the herb mix is well balanced. We are generally very big eaters, we got through around 80-90% of our meal, giving ourselves the opportunity to try everything - we paired our meal with two separate glasses of red wine, recommended by Samson. They paired perfectly and we thoroughly enjoyed. Overall experience was an 11/10, would strongly recommend, thank you very much Hawksmoor!

I recently had the Sunday roast at Hawksmoor Manchester, and I can confidently say it was one of the best dining experiences I had. The beef was perfectly cooked, juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The Yorkshire puddings were towering and crisp, with just the right amount of softness in the middle. Accompanied by rich, savory gravy and roasted vegetables that had the perfect balance of crispiness and tenderness, every bite was a joy. But what truly elevated the meal was the cheese cauliflower. Creamy, decadent, and packed with deep, cheesy flavor, it was the perfect side to complement the roast. The service was impeccable and the ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, making it an ideal place for a leisurely Sunday meal. Highly recommended!

The service was awesome! The guys were super friendly and knowledgeable. I didn't get the name of the guy who served us, but he was great and really made the meal special they also did a dessert for our anniversary which was a nice touch. The burger and mac 'n' cheese were both really good. I skipped the steaks because I had them for lunch the other day and they were way too salty for my taste. I tried my wife's steak to see if it was just a one-time thing, but nope, it was still super salty. She liked it, but I'm not a fan of over-salted steaks. The drinks are super expensive. Overall, it was a nice meal, but I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to go back without a decent discount voucher! 😂
