December 2024Such an interesting place, the have done there utmost to keep it exactly the way it was. The price of the tickets were a little too high, I had no idea when I entered, but instead if $35, I think I was expecting about $25. It doesn't feel like it should be the same entry cost as the tower if London. The audio guide was good and intuitive, I feel like it may be difficult for an older person to work out.

January 2025Amazing and well preserved war room. I spent 2hrs inside but it was way too short. This museum is for those who love history! The Middle East section was so interesting. From the Arab Revolt to the nightmare of 1948 in Palestine. Highly recommended!

January 2025This has expanded considerably since our last visit quite a few years ago - make sure you leave plenty of time for the Churchill museum. The tickets are not cheap but are sensible value for money given the displays. Very worthwhile - combine with Chartwell (Churchill's house in Kent, National Trust) but it is so much more than a Churchill museum here as you learn about all the ordinary people who put their lives on hold and at risk so we get to enjoy a peaceful and democratic country and ( mostly) continent today. Allow at least 2.5 hours if you are on a busy trip to the UK - but if you live in London and have the time - take longer!

January 2025Churchill War Rooms The Churchill War Rooms is a fascinating and immersive museum that offers a glimpse into the heart of Britain’s wartime leadership during World War II. Nestled beneath the streets of Westminster, these historic underground rooms are where Winston Churchill and his team strategized and made some of the most critical decisions of the war. As you walk through the dimly lit corridors, you can feel the weight of history around you. The air itself seems to carry a sense of the past, with a subtle mustiness that reminds you these rooms have remained largely unchanged since the 1940s. This faint smell of age adds authenticity to the experience, making you feel as though you’ve stepped back in time. The War Rooms are preserved in remarkable detail, from the maps and telephones in the Cabinet Room to Churchill’s bedroom and the typists’ cramped quarters. The sense of claustrophobia in these tight, dim spaces reflects the intense pressure and urgency felt during the war. One highlight is the Churchill Museum, a modern addition within the War Rooms that provides an interactive and detailed look into Churchill’s life and leadership. It’s a perfect balance to the preserved war rooms, giving visitors both the personal and historical context of the space. Visiting the Churchill War Rooms is not just about learning history—it’s about feeling it. The combination of the preserved wartime atmosphere, the tangible sense of age, and the detailed storytelling makes this museum a must-see for anyone interested in World War II or British history. It’s an unforgettable experience that truly brings the past to life.

January 2025Cool experience for any war buff. Lots of other attractions around the corner, so good place to start your day. The audio was good and included in ticket. Great souvenir store at end with lots of cool merchandise. Enjoy
