March 2025This was my second time visiting a speakeasy and it was incredible! The atmosphere was perfect and the waiters were very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. The menu is wonderfully designed and kind of acts like a guide to finding the perfect drink for you. I particularly loved the illustrations. There are so many original, thoughtful and creative drinks to try. Each one is a work of art that comes with a little surprise. This bar is a tad pricey but reasonable for the location, as well as the experience and quality you receive. I will definitely come back soon!

March 2025The drinks are great, the bartenders are a spectacle to watch. It’s also THE nightjar so you would like to hear live music but you’re told that you’ll be charged extra 10GBP per person if you want to stay until the live gig starts. And we got there at 7:45; surely I am very happy to pay service charge like I do everywhere But when you sit at a bar that was founded on the idea of mixing music and cocktails and you’re asked to pay extra 10GBP per person to listen to live music when I’m already spending 38£ for two drinks and olives … it is a bit unfair. The service is not what nightjar used to be years ago at the other venue. It is just sufficient standard, a little explanation of your drink and nothing more, no follow up, no engagement. There is no magic, there is no theatre, no aroma, no magic like it used to be. And being charged more money on top of whatever you’re drinking, does not sound right to me.
