We had the best weekend in London staying at The Mitre. All the staff were amazing and did everything they could to make our stay most enjoyable. The hotel is a beautiful old building very carefully restored and decorated to the highest standards. The room was lovely and the bed so comfortable, we had the best nights sleep. We also ate at the bistro which was sublime. The cabbage OMG! The only down side was there wasn’t much choice or anything left at breakfast, the coffee was good though. The free tickets into the place made the weekend extra special. We will definitely be back. Two soups!

Visited the Mitre Restaurant & Bar for a work conference and lunch. The venue is beautiful, very traditional and cozy with stunning views to the river. We had a buffet style lunch that was delicious with a lot to choose from. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Thank you for putting up with all of us. They also have boat rides on the themes that you can go on with drinks and music, perfect for a sunny day x

We arrived at the hotel just after mid day. The welcome from the receptionist was brilliant. Our room was not ready upon our arrival, but she could not be more attentive. We had a welcome drink, whilst she enquired as to whether our room could be finished quickly. In no time we were able to collect our key and she arranged for our case to be put into our room, whilst we looked at the area. What a stunning place. We would definitely go back. The breakfast was lovely.

Fabulous staff, thank you Hannah, the other reception girls and the ladies on breakfast and the bar. Superb, an asset to the hotel. The hotel is old, and regrettably shows it in some areas. We had room 114, Cartoon Gallery, with its own private courtyard. Big, comfortable and reasonably quiet, apart from the noisy bratty child!! Oooo, enjoy the ginger liqueur, yum. Great location for Hampton Court. Parking is limited and still not figured out breakfast costs. Highly recommend.

We stayed at this beautiful old hotel for a wedding being held there and the wedding party had booked the entire hotel for the event. It was disappointing, however, that we could not access our room before 4pm on the day. The ceremony was at 1.30pm and therefore we could not use our room to change or prepare. There was an option to pay extra, apparently, to allow us early access, but as the room was already costing £440 for just one night, it seemed too much. I tried calling the hotel to see if we could use the room early, but after 18 attempts between 9am and 11.30am on the morning of the wedding, none of which were answered, and leaving a voicemail which was never returned, I gave up. On arrival, the reception staff were quite disinterested, and repeated that access was at 4pm, and it wasn't their fault, and the reason they weren't answering the phone was because it was "all a bit mad today". I left my bags, and after the wedding service returned to reception at about 2.30pm to retrieve something from them. I was told my bags were in my room, but I still couldn't get the key. Not sure why my bags were allowed in but I wasn't. Anyway, lovely hotel, good location, nice food etc, but very overpriced and not much in the way of sympathetic customer service.
