One of two restaurants at Petersham Nurseries Covent Garden site, (the other being The Petersham) La Goccia is a relaxed, all-dayer offering an extensive menu of Italian small plates, otherwise known as cicchetti. Named after the Italian interiors shop owned by co-founder Francesco Boglione’s mother, the nature-inspired space features an open grill and wood-burning oven, with food prepared in front of guests. Cocktails meanwhile, are botanically-inspired.

This restaurant was OK, it wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. I don't recommend the fried chicken (no chicken, mainly batter) or the roasted potatoes (super dry). The best dishes were the mushroom risotto and the pumpkin ricotta sage tortellini.

Food poisoning from the brown crab pasta - Extremely disappointed, I took my partner here on a date and she's been vomitting all night. At first we really liked the atmosphere of the place, drinks took a while to come and they were only soft drinks but the waiter was attentive and everyone was friendly. We were only there for a couple of plates and the dough balls were great but followed by a Ragu and crab pasta.... I had a few bites of the crab pasta but found it too fishy (should have taken this as a sign). I had cramps for the rest of the night resulting in cutting our date short however my partner who had most of the dish has been up all night being sick. This was the only thing we ate away from home that day. So disappointed as this was the first visit. Very pricey for what it was, which in London is expected but the least you can provide for the price is fresh and safe food. Will never be coming back and will advise friends, family and clients to avoid this place!
