4th Floor Studios, 4th Floor (two Adjoining Studios With Roof Top Terrace)

We hosted a party at the 4th Floor Studios large apartment on the 4th floor. It really felt it was as if we were hosting a house party at another person's place. The hosts were wonderful, we had 3 bar tenders with us that night and for any technical problems, the manager would come right up. The venue was divided into two areas, one with a pool and foosball table and one with just an open section where our DJ set up! There was a cloakroom that was self-service to us as well as a terrace/ balcony for smokers. All-in-all it was a wonderful experience for us, one that we highly recommend.

Booking was straight forward and Hannah was very accommodating at first. Although I booked without seeing the property physically as I needed to secure a location for my mum's memorial night that in my culture must take place 9 days after the person has passed. I sent family members to see the property couple of days later, I could not go personally as I have an infant who was poorly at the time. In total four family members went to the location on 2 separate occasions. My family all came back saying the same thing the entrance was very unappealing and they were not happy with the condition and cleanliness of the lift and stairs and also the size of the lift (could only hold 2-3 people at a time). My sister could not even enter the lift as she didn't feel safe and it was triggering panic attacks. It was very soon decided that due to the access to 4th floor studios that this venue was not suitable as we were expecting 200+ people a lot of which are elderly and could not handle the stairs or the time it would take waiting for the lift as the lift was very small. I messaged Hannah explaining everything and told her I needed to cancel my booking. At that point Hannah's demeanor changed. After booking with 4th floor studios for only a couple of days Hannah refused to return my £300 deposit and became very cold. I messaged Toby who was very lovely and he said he would try to get me something back but in the end Hannah had the final say. In the end I received not a penny back, even though I saw from previous reviews that they have made refunds in the past. I just lost my mum, emotionally I was in a bad way, funerals are very expensive, I'm a single mum and to lose £300 and not have anything to show for it was very painful. I also asked my sister to speak to Hannah on the phone on my behalf (as she is a business woman) but again Hannah was very cold and had no empathy or compassion and every chance she got she changed the reason why she was not returning my deposit. Money is all Hannah cares about and if you are looking for a location to host something special you should find people that care about their customers and not just filling their pockets. I'm very Sad with the way that things turned out but even more sad at the way human beings treat each other. I only have one last thing to say and that is karma.
