Millennium Gloucester Hotel, Harrington Boardroom

Had a long two week stay at the Millennium hotel and they were a good hotel. The Staff are respectful and quite friendly when you get to know them. They are definitely here to help. A small gym is available which fit the need for a quick workout. It’s located quite close to the subway (2 min walk) and you will find a few fast food outlet nearby. My main complaint with the hotel was the lack of food item for someone staying 2 week. Even though I was only having dinner there, in a week I was bored of the food.

The hotel is very well located, which is a major plus. However, from the outside, it looks rather uninviting, while the lobby is nicely designed and has a welcoming atmosphere. The staff was very friendly, and we were even allowed to check in earlier than planned – a pleasant service. Unfortunately, I had an unsettling experience when, on the way to our first room, two men were watching and following us. Our room was somewhat isolated at the end of a hallway, right next to the stairwell, which left me feeling uneasy. After returning from the city, we requested a room change, which was arranged without any issues – a big plus for the service. The rooms themselves are very outdated. The carpet was dirty, and the bathroom tiles had limescale deposits and cracks. The cleaning was rather superficial – towels were changed, but the bed was not freshly made. Additionally, the rooms are very poorly soundproofed, so you can clearly hear noises from the hallway and other rooms. I deliberately chose not to book breakfast due to the negative reviews, which turned out to be a good decision. However, there is a very good bakery just down the street that I can highly recommend. Conclusion: The hotel is okay for a one-night stay, but I wouldn’t book it again. The location is excellent, and the staff is friendly, but the condition of the rooms and cleanliness leave much to be desired.
