Jailhouse Bar, set within the former Police Station of the Old Street Magistrate’s Court, celebrates the very best of the drinks world with innovative and delicious cocktails and a wide array of other beverages on offer, whilst being surrounded by historically significant architecture, including former prison holding cells. Jailhouse Bar serves as a relaxed lounge area throughout the day, perfect for meetings and coffees, and then transforms into an after-work hub for those looking to unwind with a drink or two post 5pm. Jailhouse Bar also happily provides bottle service, private hire in the cells, and semi-exclusive spaces for larger parties. The Jailhouse Bar also offers the quintessentially British staple of Afternoon Tea every day from 12pm, however done Shoreditch style

March 2025Enjoyed a wonderful champagne afternoon tea served by Rafika. The food was delicious and service exemplary. Rafika even took the time to show us around the hotel, the Court Rooms and the cells, and explained a little about the history. Thoroughly recommend.

March 2025Who would have known that the most amazing spa, most relaxing and healing massage, beautiful clean pool (that a 5 foot shortie like me can walk from one end to the other or swim) was right in the heart of Hackney. A hidden gem!

December 2024This gem of a hotel in Shoreditch looks so cold on the outside as if it has no soul, but as soon as you enter it’s warmth is felt from the Team who served us breakfast and welcomed us into the Spa. The Hotel is well insulated, the temperature throughout it felt lovely. The only thing I’d improve is the Spa Changing room. It should be mopped or cleaned regularly as the floor was wet a lot of the time. And the Steam room heat needs boosting because it was warm whilst we were there so we couldn’t really enjoy it. Besides that the treatments performed by the Therapists were great (massage/body scrub/head massage) and the complimentary glasses of Prosecco were tasty, the Spa team even had non-alcoholic version available for my sister. Thank you for everything!
